Would there be any advantage with choosing the IK ARC mic? ARC mic is MEMS tech, both Dayton and Behringer are electret so probably better s/n ratio than MEMS but don't hold the performance consistency with time or due to environmental conditions like the MEMS do. ARC software is tuned best for MEMS, also the Mic Room plugin can take the MEMS sound and tune it to sound like a different mic and with great results. Dayton has the calibration file so that shouldn't be a problem for measuring. Behringer is good and cheap but doesn't have calibration file, you can get a general calibration for it from the web. MEMS for consistency, Dayton for better s/n, Behringer for pennies. Each has it's own plus .

I don't doubt the XLN guys can do a contemporary GUI, just look at XO, and I can easily imagine AD3 given similar modern GUI plus added more expanded songwriting tools in vein of the ones like ED2/SD3. Would I be happy with such updates? Heck yes! Would I want to shell out another $100/200/whatever for it? Errrm... I have no problems whatsoever with getting quality drum tracks from AD2 and the adpaks that I've chosen. And I do not miss anything much from the sound of their kits, especially the more recent ones, even when I try to compare and listen to the Toontrack alternatives. Should I ever miss the songwriting features there's always Toontrack at the reach of my hand (and for another $100-200). Last thing I'd be looking for are bugs and/or breaking compatibility with old projects. Now I'm off to listen to this Claustrophobic kit

Just be aware that that mic probably wouldn’t be individually calibrated, but you should be able to find a generic calibration file. The individually calibrated ones would around $70 (like the Dayton EMM6). For similar price ($70) you can buy the IK's MEMS mic and be done with it. The €30 mic is not a bad idea but if you're planning on getting TR5 Mic Room in the group buy then there's another way of using the same MEMS mic for measurements and then for some recordings.

Good question! I know I can get away with some stock Sonitus plugins for mixing, also many other brands, that won't charge my CPU at all, or use a few TR5 instances and run out of power quickly. How's the ARC plugin?

Yeah, same here, I usually don't plan to buy something and then resell unless some extra condition happen. But this GB is all about getting the gear I want! ?
-
Anyone got a match ?
-
They go away when you sell the original buy-in. Can anyone confirm this? I only know the jampoints are going back down you can even get in the minus level if you resell too much
-
It used to be in the past that anything bought with Gear Credits became automatically NFR. Not sure it is still the case though, might be worth checking out.

Did you try this?

Now it's getting more electrifying! Should I go to bed or watch the counter... decisions decisions

I much prefer sauerkraut salad!

Now that's a weird hill!!! A greenberg instead of iceberg.

The referenced spreadsheet has all the info you're looking for. I wouldn't be sure that spreadsheet is perfectly fine. I have Sampletank 4 MAX and I didn't find in My Products some of the newer instruments from the so called "collection series" i.e. LA Confidental, Alternate Keys, Clavitube or the Hitmakers (any of them). Could someone confirm? Or did they add them to "Sound Download" in My Products section after my downloads expired? But anyway according to this and this detailed instrument lists the above aren't in the ST4 MAX.

While I agree with you, I think I get the general idea of software being more maintained instead of developed. I'm getting to the point where I'm starting being tired with all the Win10 updates crap as I still remember very well decades of freedom on XP and Win7, where I could really do what I want, do some music or anything or just close the computer and walk away. It is no more since I "upgraded" to Win10, I feel like they poses my machine, I'm constantly bombarded with updates, infos, marketing crap, that is all really distracting and discouraging (shame I didn't take the photo of Cakewalk app open with closed all projects, just waiting for next session - in the background - and in foreground a kind of semi-transparent full-screen announcement that my computer has installed latest updates and is ready for a restart). So I personally would rather prefer things to calm down a bit and do updates only when necessary and not each time a developer finds out a new cool feature, and just leave alone things that are working fine.

Is it an older installation from before the IK Product Manager was released? I only see one Custom Shop and I have AmpliTube, T-RackS, and SampleTank installed. The old CS came with previous versions like T-Racks 4, etc. If you didn't have any of them you might have only the most recent CS version on your system. Also there's the Authorization Manager (different from the new IK Product Manager), that one still installs with the ARC3 soft.

I'm on Windows. If I'd be ever getting a Mac, sure I'll afford the extra $7 for re-download ?

Second entry is necessary, Kevin.

yep these EQ73 and 81, I also like their take on the Pultec (EQP-1A), the Bus comp, White 2A and the classics the reverbs are really useful if you have slots for them if you feel like you'd use them then don't overlook the leslies as to the tapes I like 99 the most but most people seem to prefer 24

No, I don't have, I think it was just a temporary, arbitrary state of the mood... as if it was a woman (but not only, according to my recent experience)

In the previous group buys the IKM support was always kind enough to make people through the GB even if there was a lag in shipping, as long as your receipt says that your purchase was within the GB timeframe you should be fine. Yeah I got it by reading the thread it's all about the competition vs kvr. Hilarious!

Me... eventually.

I think they might be actually making music in their studios.

What the heck! I'm always keeping up to date with this thread. Suddenly I saw there are 2 new *pages* (!) waiting so I've done one quickly and now there are 3 more waiting ?. While doing the readout of the last page I can see there are new posts coming as I read, LOL So I finished the thread, got back to the main deals forum page and, believe or not, a fresh new posts unread ?♂️ Just wondering what is going on here, did IKM double-up the free products count per entry by a chance...?

Ah shame I've used my voucher already.
