  1. The TH3 I find is excellent with some very good presets too.
  2. What would be the reason in not scanning a folder as malware including viruses could be planted/hidden anywhere?
  3. Is there a similar facility for audio clips?
  4. If you woudnt mind letting me know how it compares to 1.31 that would be great. And whether or not it is 'stable'.
  5. Colin do you know which version of Swanky Amp you are using. I understand that version 1.31 is the 'last stable' version although 1.4 is the latest version? Thanks
  6. Thanks again and that's a good example. Am glad someone agrees with me as I would have spent lots f unnecessary time pondering over whether to record stereo or mono. I have read a great deal about stereo recordings being more wider spatially than mono recordings are and I couldn't fathom out why - and I do believe there is no (and cannot be no) difference.
  7. Thanks. Do you think that two mono tracks could, if a good panning technique was used, ever sound like a stereo track Glenn?
  8. I appreciate this topic has been covered before but I cannot quite grasp the difference in the above. If we think along the lines that a stereo audio track is essentially 2 wav forms 'wrapped' within a single wav file. As far as I can see there is nothing in those wav forms that makes them any different to two mono tracks of an identical recording . And if we split a stereo track into 2 mono tracks that is what we would have. So I hit a brick wall when I learn that a stereo track will sound different to 2 mono tracks (that are panned accordingly left and right) as I cannot see any physical way that this can be possible. There has been no magic being performed in the recording of a stereo file that makes it different. It is the same 2 dimensional wav form. Please note I have discounted the fact that 2 different mics will provide two different recordings (and therefore that adds to the stereo effect) as that is irrelevant here. Any advice that would help with my thought processes would be much appreciated. Many thanks
  9. Thank you very much. Could you describe how I use it? Do I just look in Breverb for presets and then locate wherever i store this file?
  10. Treesha - any really good selling points on the Ample Sound Strat?
  11. Thats a good call...I went to check that but as I was selecting all of the tracks then it should have by default (I presume) exported all of the audio from start to finish.
  12. John - is the PC76 a free effect?
  13. Thanks but am still not having any joy. There is no audio still and the video freezes after a few seconds. I realise cakewalk isnt specialising in this type of feature but as it is available it should really work. I have a Dell 10th gen i7. 16gb Ram. Nothing ever slows it down. Another quick query. is there any way I can attach a still image to an audio soundtrack then save as a video so that the image will show throughout the length of time the music plays? Thanks
  14. Thanks Neal. Do you mean you use Youtubes own video editing software?
  15. My aim is simply to import a video and then attach an audio file to it. No complicated cutting and pasting or timeline issues. Just simply lining one up against the other then exporting it to a video file that I can upload to youtube. Before exporting I click Edit-Select-All. Then I have chosen to save as two different file types - 1) a youtube (WMV) file then 2) an MP4 file. Whilst exporting i see the message that audio then video is being exported. Either the resultant file does not play the audio or the file does not play at all. Is there something fundamental I may have overlooked?
  16. Thanks. I presume the auto crossfade only works for audio clips?
  17. I was wondering what the association with auto crossfades had to splitting clips - is it to face in/out where the actual split occurred? And do you suggest a 25ms cross fade? Thanks
  18. And also what are 'auto crossfade comps'? Many thanks
  19. Hi Scook I noticed from your link that there is also an option 'when splitting clips in groups, create new groups' . Does this mean that say I highlight every track and then perform a split all of the split sections of the tracks can be moved together should i wish to do so?
  20. If there are many instances of the plug-ins does are they all at the same volume and pan settings or can they be independently controlled? Thanks

    Thank you to the above.

    Melodyne 4

Please correct me if I am wrong. The version of Melodyne that comes with CbB is Essential. I understand what this plugin can do. I do however have a few questions in relation to it. 1) If I don't immediately activate it I find that I cant open it in an FX bin on a track. Is this correct? 2) When I 'mark' a region of an audio track then highlight that track and click Region FX I can click on Melodyne which duly opens up but there is no audio in it. Have I done something wrong? 3) How long is the demo period for is it 30 days? 4) Is there a UK upgrade cost if I want to purchase it after the demo period is over? 5) Has anyone paid for the full version and is it worth doing? i.e. are you using it as much as you thought you would? 6) Finally, and this is the thing I am curious about... If I played 4 bars of acoustic guitar strumming a G chord could I copy those 4 bars but then raise or lower the pitch so that a different chord is played i.e. from a G to an A or a G to an F for example and construct a song simply by strumming one single chord? (I dont plan to do this by the way I am simply using this to gauge its capabilities). Thanks in advance to all Melodyne users.
