    Does UVI have any kind of other sales in January considering that's when the thank you voucher expires or do people usually simply buy Falcon expansion packs with them?

    Last year they had an up to 50% off sale around Jan 12th...
    Hopefully it will be the same this year too.

    If they've got one for you, you should have received it in the mail (I think you can also see it in your account.)

    Been waiting for this.  While not as much as I hoped, still appreciated.
    Note that code/voucher is good till Jan 31st.

    Hi - just wondering, is anyone else still having issues with Kontakt 7 - I simply cannot get Kontakt 7 to launch on my desktop - it will load in Cakewalk, but it really is glitchy.

    I have reverted to using my Kontakt 6 - i am only using Kontakt 7 on any libraries that will not open in 6

    K7 has never behaved well for me.  I can't believe it is up to version 7.7 and still not working properly.  Two of my non-player libraries from SampleLogic (M.A.P. is one) crash Kontakt 7 when I try to change patches.  They DID work in an earlier 7.x version however! I thought "Batch Resave" would fix them, but all that did was stop them from working in Kontakt 6.  I had to reinstall from backups so I could use them (in Kontakt 6).  I can certainly see why developers are jumping (Kontakt) ship.

    Check out possible fixes listed here:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    How to fix long load time for Kontakt
    Reset the Service Center .XML files manually
    1.       Navigate to C:/Program Files/Common Files/Native instruments/Service Center
    2.       Move the .xml files in this folder to the trash.
    3.       After this is done, launch Native Access to create a new set of .xmls and restart your computer.
    4.       Try opening KONTAKT again to see if the issue has been resolved.
    Reinitialize the KONTAKT Database
    1.       Click the Windows start button at the bottom left of your screen.
    2.       Type "%localappdata%" and click the option that appears.
    3.       Navigate to the Native Instruments folder.
    4.       Then delete the following folder:
    KONTAKT 7: "Kontakt 7"
    5.       Start KONTAKT 7 in standalone mode (not in your DAW). If KONTAKT still crashes, proceed with the next chapter.
    Note that once the XMLs and Database has been reset, please be sure to open the Kontakt standalone app first. The first load time may take longer, but once the database has been rebuilt, the load times should be much faster going forward.
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    If the issue persists, first please delete the User Registry entries of Native Access and the TKDaemon:
    1.       Click the Windows Start button at the bottom left side of your screen.
    2.       Type "regedit" into the search field, then press Enter to open the Windows Registry Editor.
    3.       In the Registry Editor, navigate the folder structure to this location and locate the folder for the NI product that is crashing:
    4.       HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Native Instruments >
    5.       Delete the "Native Access" and the "NTK" entries

    Then please clear the Native Access cache by deleting the following folders:
    1.       Click the Windows Start Button on the bottom left of your screen.
    2.       Type %localappdata% and press Enter.
    3.       This will open the following folder location: C > Users > *Your User Name* > AppData > Local
    4.       go into the Native Instruments directory and delete the "Native Access" and the "NTK" folders

    My main DAW is a desktop with a decent interface.

    However, there was a time where I would use my laptop to compose on during dead time, where I dropped one kid off at an activity and it's not worth it to do anything else but kill some time at a coffee shop.  In these cases I might not have wanted to lug around a spare interface and didn't have a ton of USB slots to spare.  On top of that I wouldn't want to bring my guitar with me and I doubt anyone in the coffee shop wanted me to sing, giving me no reason to need audio input.  In that case  ASIO4ALL was a perfect solution.

    Ditto...

    When riding subway or other deadtime ASIO4ALL was perfect.

    One of the easiest yesses ever. Best soft clipper on the market.

    🤔??
    But it was released years ago and so it must be garbage, right?
    Newer stuff by less experienced programmers at underfunded companies must surely be releasing superior products.

    and besides - how can it be the best if I already own it??
    You're just depriving me of excuses to enlarge my plugin collection with more items I'll never get around to using. Doesn't that violate the ethics of this forum?

    SZECHUAN SATURATOR IS UNIQUE BECAUSE IT CHANGES THE SATURATION FUNCTION CONTINUOUSLY AS THE VOLUME OF THE INPUT SIGNAL CHANGES (WHATEVER THAT MEANS).

    For Win and Mac

    Questioning Juan:
    Isn't that kind of what almost every guitar amp sim does?

    Answering Juanita:
    ¡Claro!
    (Oh course!)

    I haven't yet tried it, probably it uses different algorithms (than an amp sim) and it does a lot more mangling (per demo video).

  8. I saw the title and had to check out the OP.
    That's when I realized that the title was not "FREE: BACON soundset for Pigments 4 & Analog Lab V"
    also realized that I should have worn my glasses.

    It's not that I'm that much of a fan of bacon (sacrilegious viewpoint to some)  but just wondered what the patches would sound like.
    Would they be phat an/or crisp or ?
    Now I'll never know...

    Alternate deal if you haven't got Inspirata Lite yet, add it you your cart then apply code:   funfriday   and get that as a freebie.

    Only thing is you can't stack it with coupon code FORUM. Thought I'd mention it.

    funfriday is no longer fun. :(
    It took its toys and went to the paid plugin home.
