Alternate deal if you haven't got Inspirata Lite yet, add it you your cart then apply code:   funfriday   and get that as a freebie.

    https://www.jrrshop.com/inspired-acoustics-inspirata-lite

Only thing is you can't stack it with coupon code FORUM. Thought I'd mention it.

funfriday is no longer fun. :(
It took its toys and went to the paid plugin home.

    Maybe because today is Thursday?

  2. Lol that's $3.28 cheaper than my upgrade price from PSP42 v1 (v2 is what's being sold)!

If I used it more I'd upgrade, otherwise I'll wait till that option is cheaper.

  3. Too bad they don't offer a completion discount - i.e. if you own one or two complete the set for less $$

As far as the individual items in this bundle...
Lowest price deal at the moment is Vento (full version) for $224.50 (have seen it before at this price but never lower)
PluginBoutique - Heavyocity || VENTO: Modern Woodwinds  + get £8.81 virtual cash
BestService - Heavyocity | | VENTO: Modern Woodwinds    + get 6.74 bitcoin bonus points
or same price from Heavyocity (no bonuses) - note discount coupon from the Essentials version does NOTHING during this sale.
NI had this at same price on its sale but sale has expired.

Similar deals from all 3 sellers listed above for Novo Strings - $249.50 or Forzo Brass $274.50

Also for upgrades and updates in account.

    Until December 31st.

25% off on all bundles and upgrades!

    My FabFilter Pro-R 2 - High-end reverb plug-in (Upgrade) is now $44.36** instead of the $69 it was yesterday.  Almost a $15 difference / about 36%.
Edit: I may have my notes mixed up, my non-BF price may been $59.14 - still the new price is around 25% cheaper.
**This is the same price as it was on BF.

  5. Still currently on sale for  €49 / $49 or free if you have FilterShaper 3**
EDIT:  **FilterShaper XL is the newer version of FilterShaper 3, not FilterShaper Core which is part of ShaperBox.

It sets my DAW conspiracy senses tingling.   I get it when it comes to plugins but romplers not so much,

    Seriously though - that's a good point.
A VST is just a DLL run by a hosting app, usually a DAW, - so someone could pack it with malicious code, malware, spyware, etc..
If the DAW is run with Admin privileges that DLL is basically running in GOD Mode and it can interact directly with the OS to do what it wants providing it's not blocked by antivirus or antimalware systems.
A rompler on the other hand, like a Kontakt, uses libraries composed of samples & macros that work within the rompler but not the directly with the OS - so if the rompler is secure/stable the libraries should be safe.

Go into Windows Control Panel / System Settings / 3rd Party Integration Services and set Rampant Paranoia level down to 5 or even 3.
You probably have it set to 7 which known to cause tingling with VST plugins.

Am I the only one finding it odd UVI products on sale at NI?

    Is Spitfire next?  Sampletank?

Probably trying to leverage the marketing muscle of another company to reach new customers.
Somewhat similar to PA having sales on plugins for developers not under their umbrella and possibly not joining their umbrella.
You get new eyeballs checking out your stuff - a potential win for both companies.

    FYI

"However if you want UVI content without iLok DRM attached watch this space. Something is coming."

"We bought UVI. But we have no plans to mess with their awesome products and company.

But, yes the plan is to replace Pace iLok with something less objectionable."

    https://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=318019

    🙂

meh, unless they plan on doing away with copy protection altogether IMHO this is hardly a win.  It'll be just another private authorization system** that I have to notate in my password safe just so I remember their particular flavoring and next time I rebuild my system I'll may have to do multiple authorizations for my UVI plugins instead of just the one iLok. On a new system I can download & install the iLok manager and I've got over 400 plugins authorized in less than 15 minutes total.

**Probably they'll build their DRM into the UVI Portal app which might not be bad as long as you can mass authorize plugins.

  10. For those interested - HalfTime was update last month (in case you missed it)

    1.1.8 - November 29, 2023
    ===================================

    - New: Pro Tools Automation Menu support. In any DAW, hold Cmd-Ctrl-Option on Mac or Start-Ctrl-Alt on Windows to highlight all automatable parameters with a coloured dot. In Pro Tools, users can continue holding the modifiers and click a parameter to access the Pro Tools Automation Menu.

    - Fixed: Logic crashed when double-clicking L or R in Dual Mono mode.

Happily still working but for how long until they stop paying the license fee for the iLok version???

    Is that even an issue?
Last I checked I've got iLok plugins working from companies that died years ago.
Could just be that company no longer has access to new iLok registration codes.
Details would be in the developers iLok licensing agreement but I have neither the desire or patience to dig it up and read it.

    FOMO

Yes, I've got it, as all the DAWs are on sale. Am I being foolish not to jump as I wait hopefully for SONAR?

Are you happy /proficient with Cakewalk?
Do you have the time to commit to learning another DAW? or is that time / effort going to be a creative distraction?
Worse case of postponing purchasing another DAW maybe that you'll have to wait to next BF to catch similar sales.

One more compressor to round out my collection to over 100, or a nicely discounted Rebelle7 pro?  Some Black Friday decisions are so difficult, but I think you all can guess which one I choose!🫠

This will help you make up your mind - the Rebelle 7 discounts ended yesterday :(

ReMIDI 2, which I have always found to be a fun tool for inspiration has been upgraded to ReMIDI 3.  Upgrade price (at least mine) is $19.  Regular price is a staggering $128!

    Here's the link:

    https://store.songwish.ca/p/remidi-3/

They upgraded the UI which will greatly simplify scanning MIDI files for chords and other variations -- very useful!  They also added a semi-randomized chord-melody generator, separate from the MIDI file scanning -- not really as useful, IMO.  There's a tutorial video on the page.

    Sale price is $40 - Non-upgrade
