Mostly I'm quite proud of not being the type of person that instantly remembers that I have a camera in my pocket, but that was definitely a missed opportunity for some comedy gold.

In my recent experience that works both ways. Try asking a "customer service" person a very simple question that isn't on their list of pre-approved questions and it's very much going to be a long haul experience......

Some days I could convince myself that they deliberately employ imbeciles so that people won't bother calling any more and then they can blame the "unfortunate" (but very much profit increasing) closure of the staffed "helplines"  on the fact that "nobody uses them". 

Yeah, it's not really a great look on them given that the start screen is now covered up by a nag screen telling me to get it every time I start the program.

It's the same as it always is.

I got that today.... total PITA as pressing the CLOSE button after the countdown thing doesn't work and trying to move the sliders just produces a " ding"  which I believe is windows for " it doesn't matter how many times you click me, I'm not doing it."

My DAW pc is offline so I guess it was built in to the last version to activate on a certain date by which I'm also guessing the new version was supposed to be ready.

Eventually it did allow me to close it, but it was quite some time after the CLOSE button appeared. Is this my life now?

If this thread doesn't bring S.L.I.P. in from just lurking in the long grass, then nothing ever will..
