Somewhere in the middle of the clip there's also a topic on using hammer-ons (and pull-offs) switches while strumming.

That demonstration shows he is using a MIDI pattern in the piano roll to trigger the additional articulations during the strums. They are not actually part of the pattern bank in the Ample VSTi.

I assume that piano roll technique might be possible with any strumming engine, as long as those articulations are available via keyswitches.

Since version 6 has just been released, do you think the interfaces comith with said version?

The way it should work is when you register your new device at PreSonus, you get to download the version that is current. Since PreSonus is no longer selling the old version I would be pretty confident you would be entitled to receive S1 Artist v6.

Here's a deal at Sweetwater, the PreSonus AudioBox iOne USB Audio Interface for $119.99 $69.95 - Instant Savings: $50.04

Every so often I need to take a break because I can't stand to hear another stacked unison sawtooth blast. I am hoping that somewhere in there will be some deep house/ambient fodder.

Tip: Try opening Massive in the Komplete Kontrol plugin. You will be able to use the NKS preview sounds in the preset list without having to load each preset. Better yet, use the filters and select "Soundscapes", then pick one of the sub-types such as "Ambivalent" or "Hypnotizing". Should narrow the target down a bit for you... :)

    Hello,

I've got a .focusrite account, but I'm wondering if it's free for using it only during a limited time, because of the mention "Time-limited software" on top of each block :

If I install it, what will happend in a few weeks/months, it won't be usable anymore ?

"Plug-in Collective members can download MASSIVE from Native Instruments and Ozone Elements from Izotope free from their Focusrite account from 6th October to 12th January (4 pm GMT). Access the three-month free trial of KOMPLETE NOW to add a wide range of synths, sounds, and effects to your tracks."

The Collective plugins are perpetual licenses. If you get them prior to January 12th, then you get to keep them. KOMPLETE NOW is limited to 3 months.

  5. I picked up Fallout 4 (2015) nearly 5 years ago in 2018 from Humble Bundle, but it turned out to be a Steam key. Tons of fun for $14.99 & reasonable system requirements for the day. Not too excited about Steam though...

Never played Fallout 3 (2008), but would definitely recommend 4. Unfortunately, GOG only seems to carry Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout 3.

BTW, Fallout 3 is on sale at Steam for $2.49, Fallout 4 is $4.99, Fallout: New Vegas is $2.49, all until October 18th.

  6. Have you tried the strumming engine in the Indiginus guitars by Tracy Collins? https://www.indiginus.com/renegade-acoustic-guitar

He has scripted a brilliant Kontakt UI for guitar. But since I am not a guitar player, I can't really say if it would solve your question, although it might be worth a look.Ā  This is a 9 min walkthrough of his Renegade Acoustic for Kontakt (full). The strumming engine overview begins at 4:55.

On the other hand my Yamaha Tyros keyboard on mixing console shows the faders and pan pots moving in real-time, so it's possible. Midi files are still very importantĀ

The MIDI file spec is still very important! But DAW hosts such as Cakewalk, or hardware such as Yamaha, can do things internally that are not part of the MIDI specification.

When you export your data to a MIDI file, you are limited to only the data elements covered in the MIDI spec. Anything extra that was generated in your host is discarded when you save to MIDI.

Most science backed by mainstream "science" and (Western) doctors is not actually what the real studies have found.Ā

Well, you either accept Western science, or you do not. I guess it's an individual choice... so will leave it there... šŸ˜‰

And by the way, the predatory practices of the corporate pharma industry has nothing to do with science. That's a matter of "follow the dollar"...
