  1. That was my exact issue with Waves. Unknown to me, they had used a virtual network adapter related to a network packet sniffer that I had installed years ago.
  2. I agree with that, and thanks for the heads-up that Pace does that. I only ever encountered that issue with Waves. 🙄
  3. My experience with them exactly! I have AIR, SONiVOX, and AKAI bundle licenses in my iLok account. They responded within 24 hours at softwaresales@inmusicbrands.com. I believe that the keyword here is "softwaresales"! 🤣 I'm sure the company is still trying hard to sell some stuff. Support maybe, not so much... 🤔
  4. I had Amplitube 4 Total Studio MAX 2, and upgraded to AT5 SE during the group buy last year, with 150 discounted Gear Credits. That got me an entry in the GB at the $150 level, so then I basically got every collection and device available in AT5 MAX as a freebie...
  5. I use local machine activation for my iLok licenses. Got bitten once when I upgraded my hardware. Always de-authorize your licenses from your machine before doing any upgrades. Then all you have to do is activate them on your "new" machine. But I didn't, so then I had to email each publisher to request a soft reset on my iLok activations, because the "old" computer was no longer accessible to do so myself... Similar thing happened with Waves when I removed a network adapter they had linked my local activations to somehow. Burned my once-a-year "get out of jail free" card with Waves on that one. I now use a USB stick for my Waves licenses. But I'll be danged if I'll pay for an iLok dongle.
  6. I stand corrected on the SE edition. Fixed in my earlier post! My memory is not as good as it used to be, LOL!
  7. AT5 CS or SE does not include the VIR enhanced speaker and cabinet modeling. You need AT5 SE, Standard or MAX to get that. The AT5 collections should work without that feature. Edit: to correct SE version.
  8. Go your "Promotions" link in your account. All of the current 22 free product links will be available for selection. You have 30 days from end of promotion to make your choices. I've been grabbing them as each one was made available! The downloads are then good for 180 days after selecting them...
  9. I'm guessing that you missed this last Thursday? So we have 15 days left. and that means about 66 entries per day should take it all the way. That looks achievable!
  10. OK, I tried this in Studio One... The only thing that I could NOT DO was to drag MIDI directly from a Studio One track into the EZD3 Bandmate window. Otherwise, all of these tasks worked: Drag MIDI directly from EZkeys to EZD3 Bandmate Drag MIDI directly from EZkeys to a Studio One track Drag MIDI directly from EZD3 to a Studio One track Drag MIDI directly from the Studio One file browser into EZD3 Bandmate. Drag MIDI directly from the Windows desktop into EZD3 Bandmate. Reaper is basically the same way. But Cakewalk however, will allow you to drag MIDI directly from a DAW track into Bandmate! So it's not really a EZD issue...
  11. Yep, I racked up the equivalent of AT5 MAX during the IK Group Buy last year. Already had AT 4 MAX, so got a cheap upgrade to AT5 Standard (which includes the enhanced impulse and speaker modeling). The GB then provided me with freebies for all of the extra AT 5 collections that come with MAX! And the year before I got AT4 MAX included in the a Total Studio Maxgrade sale. Always best to wait for a Group Buy or a Total Studio sale.
  12. That looks more like it should be with a v2 synth! I only have the CS version of the CATO installed, and it only shows "CATO Saw No Sub" in the Osc section. Glad you got it sorted! Did you reinstall it, or change the path? I do have the 99 installed, and it shows a bunch of wave sets like your example.
  13. I can't argue with the advice for decent system specs when running it, but it will also depend on the size of your project, and how many instances you plan on running concurrently. For just a few tracks, probably not going to be a showstopper. Another reason to demo before a purchase. That's the only way you will know how it performs on your setup!
  14. I'm afraid that Amplitube 5 MAX has pretty much spoiled my interest in collecting more amp sims... In fact, I got Guitar Rig 6 Pro with Komplete 13, and haven't even bothered to install it. 🤣
  15. I'm not a guitarist, so that's why I suggest a demo as opinions can be subjective. I do use it as an amp and cabinet sim on my virtual guitar and bass tracks, and it sounds very realistic. If I did play guitar, I couldn't imagine needing much more!
  16. When using SSD for storage, loading everything in RAM is not that important, except for loading large samples for active virtual instruments, and any data that is currently being processed by the CPU. Let Windows do it's thing, as it's the OS's job to perform memory management, and you are good to go! For extra SSD speed, look into M.2 NVMe if your PC supports that. https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-2-tb-mz-v7s2t0b-am/ 3,500MB/s Seq. Read 3,300MB/s Seq. Write
  17. I think the 2 GB is related to the use of convolution. Don't really have much desire to use plugins that need that much space, although I made an exception for the Waves IR Convolution Reverb. Also I did notice quite a bit of lag whenever I changed a setting. I have a few other channel strip emulations that do just fine, so I gave up on this one.
  18. That's what you see when you try to edit one of the freebie v2 presets from CS. You will probably need to use the "Reinstall Library" option for the v2 synths using IK Product Manager (in the "... more options" menu) to get all of the new presets and wave sets. That's what I had to do!
  19. New oscillator editing in Syn2:
  20. Locating oscillators in Syn1:
  21. Once you have a Syn2 preset open in the "Edit" window, just click on any oscillator name. That will open the wave selection pane on the right and you can add any wave in the list. To add an oscillator, just click on any empty oscillator slot, and then choose one from the wave selection list. Easy!
  22. Acustica Audio Cream review Music Radar, July 12, 2018 (old version) https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/acustica-audio-cream
  23. I got that for free last year from the Focusrite Plug-in Collective. It's uninstalled now because I found it too cumbersome/fiddly to dial in the settings in the GUI... it looks cool though!
  24. If Larry posts a deal that appears "too good to be true", it probably is. You should jump on those immediately if it's something on your wish list! Sometimes distributors like JRR make mistakes when posting a sale and then correct them as soon as they notice them. But if you get in before the "fix" you are good to go.
