I enjoyed this, has a  great classic rock sound.   Guitar playing is pro level.   Dig the backing vocals which take a lot of extra work, nice.    Wish more people would post the lyrics, but it's not critical to do so.

Thank you for listening, and the positive feedback, Michael.

I'll add the lyrics in a bit.

    All the best.

  2. My racks are built from IKEA Rast bedside table that I cut down (5U each side) to act as monitor stands as well.

I've got one spare which I think has 12 U space, but that is still in its wrapping in the garage (for later, when I get rich and famous and stuff), and has been for some years.

I know I got the 3 last ones in Norway at the time. I checked all stores in the country before ordering them, and they were only in 1 store. Web ordered them, and picked them up myself, to make Shure I got the right ones.

If I had an eq (or 2), another compressor (or 2), some 500 series stuff, I'd put it together.

I feel no rush to get that done though 😁

    Zargg,

I too have the WA73-EQ, and I love it as my vocal chain Mic Pre. I was watching a video that says were using the pre-amp wrong if we didn't have the output all the way up and then dial in the Line or the Mic signal.  I then  watched some Neve 1073 videos from other engineers discussing their use and that was their consensus also.

I didn't know that way of using the gain on it, but Am certainly gonna try. Thanks for the tip/info 👍

I've kept the output at unity/zero, and used the input for gain so far.

    All the best.

  4. I've used 1.0 mm Dunlop pics on el. geetarz and bass since I started playing. For acoustic I used thinner, but have now started using 1.14 mm Dunlop pics with another kind of gripping surface. I recently started using something called Attak picks when playing fast/doing shredding.

For bass I have found a new favorite. A 1.6 mm Dunlop pick with the same kind of gripping surface as the 1.14 mm.

I've also toyed a bit with a 3 mm Attak pick for bass.

The attak picks give very nice attack (as the name suggests), which I like when playing fast/shredding.

    All the best.

That was quite pleasant, the acoustic opening did sound a little muffled to these furry ears, the rest was a classic from yourself @Zargg

Thanks for listening and feedback, John.

    All the best.

Hi Ken . . . really liked this one, vocals are great, with that doubled low growl accompaniment, excellently mixed and recorded. The guitar solo caps the whole piece off, though, I found the transition back to verse after it sounded like a sudden engineered volume turn down, instead of a musical transition, just what I heard. I also really like both the intro and the outro, very creative, and unpredictable. Overall a quality piece and well written song !

Thanks for listening and feedback, noynekker🙏

    All the best.

  8. This is written, performed and mixed by me.

    Feedback is appreciated.

                    In Vain
    Verse 1:
So you think you're all alone in this.
Well I guess that you are wrong.
No one could ever deserve this less than you do right now,
still you're the one that will prevail.

    Chorus:
When all else seems to be in vain.
Your strength gives hope to those who still cannot see.
    All you need to,
is realise that you will sometimes fall down again.

    Verse 2:
Do not fear where you are right now.
It is just for some time.
Remember everytime you fell, and did get up again.
    Stronger for every time.

    Chorus 2:

    Solo:

    Verse 3:
It seems you have a gift for this.
Make a right from what is wrong.
It is a path layed down before you.

    Chorus 3:
When all else seems to be in vain.
Your strength gives hope to those who still cannot see.
All you need to is realize that you, will sometimes fall down again.
    Sometimes fall down again.

  9. Hi Tom.

I won a lifetime membership for PLAP some 3 years ago (as it is fondly named by the "Plappers", instead of the loong "Produce like a pro").

The 1st thing I've ever won, if my memory serves me right.

There's a bunch of extra stuff included in the membership, such as discount on certain hardware and plugins. I got my Lewitt 440 Pure with the PLAP discount.

There's a lot of cool and knowledgeable people there as well. I've collaborated with some of them on a few songs, and it is cool.

Even the Bapu himself is also a member there ;)

I would say that it is worth it.

    All the best.

Having said that, if I can access my UAD plugins that I already own for free via Spark - and not need a subscription - then it'll be nice to get the LA2A collection back, as it's my favorite emulation. Everything else has been replaced.

The LA2A collection is included in Spark

I just installed it on my laptop, along with 3(! API Vision Strip, Brigade Chorus and the 1176 collection) other plugins (and I also own quite a few).

    All the best.
