The very first Optane drives were specifically meant to be cache drives for HDD. They did help in that situation, but not enough to justify the cost to everyday users.

Later drives  were meant more for system use and mass storage.

Naw, the ptane stuff is a new non-volatile memory cell technology. When introduced it was suppose to be magnitudes faster than present nand technology. But so for, for the last two years I believe they have released Optane drives that are no faster than present day SSD's. They have just never lived up to the hype that was stated in the original announcements. But still cost way more.

But let me say that they are really fast. Just not as fast as we were told. Imagine that.

I have a continuous brow. Known today as a 'Uni-Brow' I remember being told when I was young to shave in between, but never did. However, my son has shaved his brow ever since he was in school. One day I told him, "Embrace your brow!"  LOL!

That was a well thought out and presented video. Like abacab says, it's should be required watching for newbs!! : )

All of the plugins that come with the PRo Channel in CbB are really great quality. On par with many of the plugins that you would pay top dollar for. You could use all these plug in to do a very accomplished mix using only the plugin that come with CbB.

Nice abacab! This will help a lot of people.

Great idea Morten! These are some great videos. Over time I have watched many of them. This is a good addition to the forum.

Its a Japanese copy from Profile. It replaced a genuine Fender celebration copy from 1986 which was stolen. 

That's a G&L Legacy 1993. All original. I love it.

That white one is a Fender Squire made in Indonesia. But somebody did some real good work on it. Frets seem like they are polished. Just really buttery smooth and all the ends are smooth. It's also got a great tremolo on it that 's not the standard tremolo you see on Fender Squires. Also, the back of the neck is sanded down to a really silky smooth finish. Almost  like a non-finished neck, but smoother. Inside the electronics compartment and all pickup cavities it's painted with some kind of black powder coated stuff. And finally there is the pickups and the pickguard themselves. Seymour Duncan double coils in the neck and bridge and single coil in the middle. The pick guard is 5 layered mother of pearl finish that looks fantastic.  I paid $200 for that guitar!! Yep, unbelievable!!

I went to a GC in Baton Rouge, wanted to try an amp, Mesa Mini Rec, and they told me to pick a guitar, I picked that one because of the Maple Neck. And when I started playing it I realized real quick there was something about that guitar. I asked how much and was shocked when he said $200. I told him write it up. He said the amp too? I said, "I don't know about the amp. Haven't made my mind up on that yet. But I ain't leaving here without this guitar!"

One of the best purchases I have ever made from GC!!

I picked this and Thorn up together and used my voucher. Around $36 each. Not bad. I am happy.

But my email said $49 too.

Agreed, the whole kit was not to my liking. But when he was doing it I thought exactly like he did, I could put this on a snare during a big build up!!

Must be a hell of a way to find out your not a part of it anymore when they don't tell you nothing. You find out from something else, like radio, trade mag, that your "Band Mate" is going on the road to support their new album. You don't get fired, you just don't get a call. Any call. Not a thank you, kiss my a$$, nothing.

Any band I was in, they at least would tell me, don't come to practice anymore!!
