I think I looked at this the last time it was on sale. I just looked and I have an account with them. Not sure if I wanted to just try some of their stuff and got all the freebies, or what?

I just got through d/l a lot of sounds with IKPM for Syntronik and ST4 that I got in the GB. There is a tab in IKPM for Sounds. I clicked it and looked around. I saw what I needed to authorize and d/l. I selected Install on all of them, walked away, came back and it was done!!

Thanks Peter!! Yes it does stand on its own. That is a great trk. Listened to it about 3-4 times before I came back here to post this. And with each listen I noticed something a little different. Sound I didn't here before, how he changed a chord in the second, third progression of the verse. Yep, that's Joe alright. Mighty fine damn work he did there. He should do a EP of just him doing stuff like that.

Thanks Simon. I started up the XLN installer and it needed to be updated. Then it tells me the I have 3 updates and 2 installs? What have I got to install? Looked around and found out it was AK it was wanting to install. I siad to myself... this won't install anything I don't onw, so what's the deal? Then I remembered XLN had a sale recently. I was at work when I found out about it and so I got it then but didn't install it. Then I forgot all about it. IGTMSW

I don't know about doing away with ST3. What I was explaining was that after importing ST2 sounds into ST3, you can then get rid of ST2 because now all ST2 sounds were converted to ST3 and put in folders inside ST3. Doing away with ST3 would also do away with the converted ST2 files. And this is where ST4 is getting all the ST3 sounds from. Am I understanding you correctly?

Once you import them into ST3, you can delete the old sounds as they are now in two folders in ST3, Imported Sample and Imported Instruments. And when you select these sounds in ST4 a ST2 icon show as a picture. The bad thing about it is the way ST4 displays the sounds you can't tell from the menu what's ST 2, 3, or 4 unless you know that instrument. Maybe there is a way to filter this that I am not aware of, but that's one of the shortcomings I have found in ST4.

Yes I have done the same as abacab. Have sound content for ST3 in one folder and for ST4 in another folder. I also installed ALL of my ST2 and 2.5 stuff then imported it into ST3. Now it can be used in ST4. And as far as I can see and make out, IKPM doesn't do this.

I know, but taking off cable would lower my bill substantially. The few shows that I do watch on HBO, I could buy and come out cheaper. Westrworld is a show I really like. But it's gonna be 2022 before the next season airs!! I thought somebody was pulling my leg. But nope. So essentially I am paying for HBO for twos years before I see the show I want!! Makes no sense!! Definitely looking for alternatives. Since I got Prime already...

Haven't tried that yet. Will look into it. I am wanting to cut cabel too. No matter how I try and trim the cost of cable, it just keeps going up and up!!!

I finally got a Firestick. That and Prime work together well. Also has You Tube app that I am beginning to watch a lot of. Amazon is still one of my goto webstores. It's just nice to see when I need something, grab the phone, order it and a few days there it is. The Walmart and other local stores in my area seems to be out of certain things lately.

Yes. ST4 wasn't available at that time when TS2 Max was released. I got ST4 with all the available libs later when ST4 was offered at a intro price.

I think this is their plan Reid. To have sales at unknown times. I got TS 2 Max when it was on sale, what a year or more ago? And with other sales and intro pricing, I have almost everything IK has now, with the exception of the Hammond B3, and Joe Stach AT expansion. I got everything else. So a TS 3 Max for me would not be anything really special. Unless I am missing something... [edit] yes I did miss something... Mixbox! So for how much to get these three (Mixbox, Hammond, Joe Stach)? I might jump!! See that was their plan all along!!

This is what I was thinking when I read the info on it. That and based on my experience with Neutron I was thinking that this may be helpful to me in setting up some reverb without going overboard. Thanks for the mini review!!

Thought about it Tony. They have that new Telefunken Tube Pre Amp I was eyeing. But decided that I will get the UA version instead.
