  1. Won't let me use the code. Says "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."
  2. We can agree 100% on this. They are just not very good at making it clear as far as what's in a latest version, of what ever. ST, AT, TR. Like I said in an earlier post, I looked around at the info presented and realized that AT5 SE and AT5 have the core features in common. AT5 SE just doesn't have all the new speakers that are available. But it has the VIR tech to make all my old stuff into the new stuff just like AT5. Matt pointed out that IK doesn't seem to do upgrades. You just get a new license for the new product/version. So if you buy AT4 now, you will get a license for AT5 SE, not an 'upgrade'.
  3. Have had this happen to me. Report to support, they ask did you try in a new project? Won't do it on a new project, but it still does it in the old project.
  4. What makes you believe that it will only happen if you have the MAX designation? The MAX designation only shows that you have all the products, not what features you have.
  5. If you use them in AT5 they will!! It's simple. Good deal you found too!!
  6. I don't think this is accurate. I believe that if what your saying is correct, then they would be selling different versions of the collections, depending on which version of AT your getting it for. And that doesn't make sense! A new buyer will buy AT5. Likes it and wants the JH Collection. Do you really think that the JH collection will not allow him to have the 'new and improved' VIR technology? Come on, think about this for a minute. It has already been said that anything you already own will run on the new engine, Even the SE version! [edit] And anything you will buy will run on the new engine.
  7. That was a good one!! I'm gonna jump on this. That Plop filter should come in handy!!LOL
  8. @Max Arwood have you tried using the Version Organizer in WC under Settings? Also try to reset in Cakewalk under Preferences/Files/Vst Setting/Scan Options/Reset then do a Scan after.
  9. Using the max Jampoints you can bring it down to $105 USD.
  10. Da King is correct on that. No one seems to be able to answer that question clearly.
  11. I wouldn't say 'limited' functionality. You just ain't getting all the new goodies. It will work just as well with AT5 SE as with AT5. I do understand and agree with you on the marketing. But we are talking IK here!!
  12. Yep, that's what I did. Same here. I keep coming back to AT. I looked at all my options and decided it was worth it for me too.
  13. From what I can see, but don't hold me to it, is nothing. I don't think there is anything 'exclusive' to AT5 MAX. It's just everything, all products together. And one of those products is AT5
  14. @scook do you know what this means when it says custom configuration?
  15. Thanks for all the feedback Peter. Hang in there!!
  16. I am not sure what that means either. I don't have any custom menus or anything like that. So when I do it I don't see any difference. If you do have custom menus then maybe save them first. I know it doesn't mess with any saved presets I have.
  17. @c c Have you tried to do a Reset then Scan your VST's again in Preferences/File/VST Settings/Scan Options/Reset after you installed v12 Waves Plugins?
  18. Poor Peter!! Glad I ain't gotta deal with that! That's what I figured. All of us that have almost everything could get AT5 SE and use the new GUI and get a small taste for the other new stuff. Cheapest way there. But I think the best deal for someone like me is to get AT5. With that purchase I get almost everything in AT5 MAX. I looked through it and there ain't much I won't have. The Joe Stach stuff. But I ain't got that now. Do I expect all my products I already own to be upgraded to a new and improved version? Of course not. That's not what I paid for. But IK did allow ST 2XL instruments and sounds to be brought into ST3. Also allowed ST 3 instruments and sounds to be brought into ST4. So who knows... we might get lucky! Just to be clear, I ain't paying no $210 for AT5 MAX. That is a little high ?. But getting what I am for $100, I think I can live with that. Is it a great deal? Nope. But it's alright. As I have learned, I can sit back and wait to get all the stuff at an unbelievable price later. But I will have that new UI when it comes out! I am looking forward to that. ?
  19. Go ahead... rub it in!! LOL
  20. @telecode 101Yes thanks for the link. To me this confirms (along with what Matt found) that all my stuff I have I will be able to use in AT5. After looking around at everything that was in the list telecode 101 posted I started thinking. Do I really want AT5 SE? For a little more I could buy AT5 and get most of the new stuff, along with what I already got, and that would almost give me AT5 MAX. Don't hold me to this, but I did look and saw that with me having AT4 MAX, the main things in AT5 MAX I won't have is most of the new speakers, All of Joe Stach stuff, a few new amps, and some pedals. I can do without that till the Total Studio comes on sale!! And to give IK support some props, I did buy, paid for, AT5 SE. After looking at the list telecode posted I realized I wanted AT5. So I sent in a support request to Sales, within two hours they had refunded me my money. It was already back in my PayPal account!! Then I was able to get AT5! $104 using 45 Jampoints. I am a happy camper! So for AT4 MAX owners, it looks to me like you can get AT5 SE and get the new UI and limited new speaker, stomps, amps, cabs. Or step up and get AT5 and get more new stuff. Even looks like that Axe deal is a rather good deal if you're in the market for an interface. The Axe itself is $349. With AT5 MAX, it's just $50 more at $399. If you got enough Jampoints, I was able to get it down to $284. Not bad for the Axe and AT5 MAX.
  21. Same here Zinc. Oh yes I know that. But I do want that new thing!! : ) And I will have the MAX version eventually!!
  22. Yes, this is the same thing I am wondering. I pulled the trigger anyway. Yep I upgraded from AT4 Max to AT5SE!!! : ) I figure with all the upgrades that I have done with IK in the past, I really don't remember anything from an older version that I owned not being able to be used in the newer version. So I figured that would hold true with AT5. With Jam Points, it was $70.
