    Alright...

I am about to tap out!!! Last couple of BF I really didn't get much. This BF I am racking up!!
  2. I had forgot about those. I went back and got the Songwriters and Fusion pks. Thanks Russ. So did I!!!
  3. So what you're saying is there maybe another plugin coming?
  4. Yep. This is me exactly. It works for me! I don't see it as awful. The music I compose doesn't require anything more than ST4. And I'm really happy and proud I got it for such a deal!! I am only letting others like me know that info.
  5. I am at work, and have been messing with the presets off and on all day. I really like this synth. Want to read up more in the manual. But this has lots of potential. Lots!!
  6. Agreed. So did I. With no code. [edit] well... I did use the SNACKS code!!
  7. Not sure what you mean by "better than last releases" If you mean the newer versions of the Pultec/Teletronix that UA put out, I have yet to test them as I have only recently purchased the newer versions of the Pultec and LA2A. But I can tell you this, the "Classics" plugins that they give away with all the new/used units are nothing to sneeze at. Those work better than anything I have in the box/native. I have never used good quaility HW Zo. So I can't compare to that. Yes my mixes are much easier now. My vocals sit much better. I have used the SSL 4kE on a lot of my vocals and it's just so easy to have them be up front without being too loud, if that makes sense. Recording my acoustic guitars now are much more of a pleasure. And sound so rich. And I haven't even mic'd them yet! That's just running the on-board preamp on the guitars through the Neve preamp, or the SSL. As a result Zo, I can record, listen, be happy, and record the next thing knowing I got a good capture. This!!^^^^ I just never realized how these tools would make things go so much faster. As far as the plugins each one: >API Vision - love this thing. I never heard much about it. But I demo'd it and bought it right off. This is a gem! >Lexicon 224 - OMG!! Seriously best reverb out there. I have the EMT140 and 250, and both of these sounds beautiful. But something about that Lexicon reverb breathes life into the recordings without being overpowering. Waves AR PLates was my favorite until I used this plugin. >Just got the Manley Variable Mu, and the Neve Dynamics Collection the BF. SO haven't had a chance to work with them yet. >Oceanway Studios is something that I have worked with. Got good results, but I tend to gravitate toward IK Sunset, more familiar with it. For me with the Oceanway plugin, I got to work with it more to get a good sound. But when you do get it, it was worth the effort.
  8. The reason I am selling the Twin Duo USB is I upgraded to a Twin X Quad TB3. And I really thought the original Twin sounded great. But the Twin X sounds much better! I am in hog heaven!!
  9. D/L the demo and man is this thing worth the money!! $29? No brainer here!! The bass is so rich, smooth, just .... just.... mmmm!!!! Very unique Arp. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. (Really need to look at the manual!! Just playing with it for now) But this arp has some serious potential!! Think I will grab this one!
  10. This no longer requires a dongle. Anyone ever use it? Is it any good? IOW, any "Gotcha's"?
  11. Marc, if you're looking to get a UA Apollo, I have one I am about to put on ebay.
  12. @Marc Cormier IOW, when you use the Brainworks plugins that are Unison compatible, you will get better response from your instrument due to the Unison Technology that is in the Apollo interface. That is what Zo is referencing when he says impedance matching. The technology works with guitars and mics. And it works really well. But remember, as Larry so helpfully points out, it is a hole in the wallet. They do look almost the same. When you open either of them in Your DAW you might not realize any difference between the two.
  13. This must be a one time use code? It's not working for me. The SNACKS code works. This must be the sale that others told me about. I was getting some stuff from them and someone said wait till BF and you can get the whole bunch for almost nothing. $19 sounds like that deal! $33... I still might get it.
  14. I must have missed this last year!!! Sounds great! Good tune, great solos, nice vocals!!
  15. Got my serial already, registered and using. For free? Good deal I say!
  16. I'll agree with that!!!
  17. I looked at Koby's place before I posted and wondered why it was much higher than the Waves website. I forgot about the code!! Yep, still a rookie!!
  18. I just applied to get mine. While I was doing this I saw Reel ADT is on sale on the Waves website for $29!
  19. it's First World problems - NI Komplete is much more $$ IIRC Agreed. The browser could be better. But for what I spent, what I get, I think I am coming out on top. For me, once I understood how the browser worked it was easier for me to get around. Agreed it's not the most intuitive browser out there, but I do like it better than ST3. And I still use ST3 on my Surface.
  20. I agree. It's worth the money.
  21. I already got all three. So no deal for me!!
  22. Though I have yet to use it like this, this idea did come to me while I was palying around with it. I could come up with some beats/grooves, then use that as a EZD midi file to make into an intro, then do the same thing for the verse, and so on.
