  1. Bapu is the chosen one and got his post count transferred over from the old forum. The rest of us are peasants and started from zero😒

If I post 50+ times a day and BAPU doestn't post another post  (like that will happen LOL ) it will only take me 4+ years to catch him.

Thanks for this great forum (I've always liked it more to FB groups).

I can see that some of the power-users from the original forum are already active here.

Now...  I wonder if Anderton will show up here someday... always loved his excellent posts.  😁

Anderton has already posted on the new forum😀

I never joined Facebook and I hope I never have to.

  3. I got Samplitude bundle too last year. Don't know if I'll update to X4 or not. I like the program but don't know if the price for upgrade is worth it to me.  SO3 I got too but never registered it,  I used the demo.

Finally registered it and got X4 upgrade for free. Just getting into the program and I love the arranger and mastering section. Plus several other programs I brought. Still CBB seems like it will be my #1 DAW with learning Samplitude and SO4 for backup.  SO4 might get the nod in the future if I get one of there control surfaces. I here it integrates with SO4 really well.

  4. It's funny Alex because in a way I'm glad of what happened to Cakewalk with Gibson. I'm not going to get into a DAW war here about the different DAW's.

It is just for me with the sale prices that were offered to Sonar users and some other deals on DAW's I brought several others to try out. I didn't want to settle on just one in case the same thing happened to the one

I'm glad I did because they all have the pluses and minuses to them. Cakewalk doesn't have what Presonus or Samplitude does in Mastering and CD burning from the DAW as one example. But since I'm use to the workflow of Cakewalk I feel more at home with it.

I brought a couple other DAW's and I like them for various reasons especially one for use with my teenager and videos :)

    Peace

    BAPU is a person?!?!  😨

I thought he was the Big @** Purple Unicorn, kinda of like a version of Barney, except his songs have adult themes and if your naughty on XMas he pokes holes in your amp and/or stereo's speakers with his horn.

I'm still leaving out a cold stein of draft beer beside a cheese & deli plate by the fireplace just in case your info is wrong.

    Hmm.............where do you live?

I could use a nice cold stein of draft beer. I might take some cheese and deli depending how bloated I am............................................................................

Be careful how you answer I have Muppets and I'm not afraid to use them.  Load Gonzo into the cannon, Aim..................

    Don't make me use them😅

  6. Not being sassy or rude but this is what is finally happening. Going 64bit software which most have wanted to happen years ago.

I know being short on funds but this is one of those things that you/me have to budget for. If you were on the Apple side you wouldn't of had the luxury of waiting to change over. No need to go underground.

Probably already mentioned, but WOW! the last post in each thread can be immediately accessed by going to the 'time since the last post' all the way to the right!! Now that is exciting!

the simple things that make us happy 😊

  8. Yep I have to agree about the 32bit excuse myself. Maybe a few years ago it was valid but more and more makers are only making 64 bit versions of their DAW.

Just like some Audio Interfaces were never updated to Windows 10 drivers and the user was forced to get a new interface when they updated to W10.

Times are changing and sometimes you have to update things you might not wanted to update yet.

    Peace
