I think this is your best mix - it had plenty of dynamics to it - some "punch" to it with a very cool high end.

I enjoyed it - thanks for posting.

    Thank you

kakku, this is a stellar backing track for a song that begs for a vocal!  This is a terrific mix, one of your best, and with a vocal, the drums might fit right in.  You are one of the most prolific songwriters around, and I hope you keep it up.  It's paying off.

Thanks a lot Lynn, nice to hear from you. Vocals, yes, would be nice to have access to someone who would sing my tunes. Keeping up is something I have problems with as I experience 'reduced thirst for song writing'.

    Hi, Kakku,

This is a cool, high energy electro-rock instrumental with lots of cool synth work and a very nice clean, punchy mix!👍😀

I really like the nice selection of synth sounds that you used for the different melody lines, and the mix is well textured and modern sounding.

The only very minor observation that stuck out a little to me, was that in a few sections the drums seemed to get a bit louder and overwhelm the other instruments, which is of course just a matter of personal taste, and the song really rocks just the way it is!

Anyway, it's great to hear another excellent track from you.  The mix sounds really good, and the Morphit plugin sure seems to have worked well for you.

    Good stuff, my friend!😀

    Best Wishes,
    Bob

Thanks a lot for commenting and tips. For some reason when I used different drum styles the volume changed too. I forgot to try  compressor on the drums

  4. Hi. This time I present to you another pop light rock tune. I hope you like it and I welcome comments and perhaps even crits. I tried my best with the mix too and I used tonebooster's morph eq thingy with the cans

I just bought the funk guitar upgrade. Dunno if the is sumthin that grabs my interest as I think I mainly need guitar thingies

Just went to the aas pages and indeed there is a sort of guitar upgrade I do not have. But.. the upgrade is blues oriented and blues is one of those styles that I really cannot do. Blast...

It's a cool groove and I enjoyed the melodies of the lead synth. I thought the mix could use a bit more punch, if that makes sense - it's a bit too subdued. I agree with emeraldsoul about the drums - a bit too much of the same is the same - they could use a bit more variety - perhaps bring in the ride at some point.

Anyway, thanks for posting - cheers.

    Thanks

It starts very abruptly, you might add some space to the very front.

I like your tunes. On this one I'm hearing some interesting percussion adds, some claps and such. I think something to look around for might be a different hi hat, which seems to be predictable and at the same volume every hit. The cymbal also has a mechanical quality. What are you using for drums? Don't get me wrong, these hi-hats and cymbals work in what I think your genre is, and basically are a part of your style. But if you are looking for a different sonic world, you might start experimenting with those. There are more organic possibilities.

    cheers Kakku, another happy winner!

Thanks for the analysis. I think you are correct. I might try fixing this when I am able again

Listening to the first post version jumps a re a little to dramatic for me.

I agree this is a problem with this tune. The second version is not much better

Kakku, I think this is a very fine work!  I've heard EDM juxtapositions that are way crazy, and this song isn't crazy at all.  I do like the second version better, but I could dance to either version (if I could dance).  The only thing I will suggest is to clip that hum at the very end of this song, otherwise, I think this is on the way.

Nice to hear this. Thank you also for the improvement suggestion
