  1. Hi. I filmed some nasty cannibal snails eating crushed snails. I do not have any idea how to get money from those videos so I will probably give them for free unless somebody here has good ideas...??? Cannibal Snails could be also a good name for some polka band or better yet for a black metal band. They could dress up like snails and sing about snails, although it would be perhaps too much for most peoples. In fact this thread could be too much to handle for most people.

I use Kontakt a lot in Cakewalk, I've not had any problems with it at all. I am on windows 7 sp2 and convenience update (not updated) and Komplete Ultimate 10 (not updated) with other Kontakt instruments as well. I also do not have any problems using the non-Kontakt instruments with Cakewalk like Massive, FM8, Battery, Guitar Rig etc.

Thanks for commenting. I also used kontakt without worries until I installed vocalise 2. I guess  I need to uninstall it

I missed this one, but I finally caught up.  This is very bright, poppy, and happy sounding as dance songs go.  I'd like to hear this played over some large speakers and subs, like in a club.  I'll bet people wouldn't be able to stay off the dance floor.

Thanks Lynn. Many say that my tunes are happy, but I think they are often melancholic in nature

  4.  Hi great forum people. When I add kontakt in bandlab it always crashes. Luckily i made guitar templates when kontakt did not crash. Using templates I can use the guitar vst but cannot open kontakt or it will crash.  First it freezes and then gives a kernel crash text. i think i have to uninstall vocalise. I can use kontakt without bandlab

    Hi kakku ,

I listened to your most recent version.

In away , at least to my ears ,your tune has a retro sound in places that remind me of the band called Mountain .

I happen to Love Mountain ( still listen to them )  In your song the guitar parts have the type of crunch and way of playing chords that reminds me of the phrasing Leslie West would play when he played power chords.

Your song seems to be coming along nicely . my suggestion would be , play around w the arrangement ...flesh it out some

    all the best,

    Kenny

Thank you for your analysis and listening. I think you mean I should add some licks or similar stuff to it. I agree. I will try to do that. The retro thing is because I Am retro. I like more the 'old' way rock was in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The Mountain band is new to me  i think. Forgot to add that kontakt always crashes when I open it. Luckily i did guitar templates when kontakt did not crash. Using templates I can use the guitar vst but cannot open kontakt or it will crash

    Hi Kakku,

I tried listening (on all the links) but could not get any to play.  The 3 dots just kept winking and blinking but the music would not load.

    I'll try again later.

Ok. I just tested and now it seems to work alright. Thanks for trying

    Hi, Kakku,

It's really great to see you on the new forum and to hear a new song from you!😀

This is a great sounding piece of dance electronica, with excellent synth work and composition, great playing and lots of cool melodies!

The modern sounding mix sounds clean, wide and punchy, and I could easily imagine hearing this being played in a dance club in any big city.

Excellent work, my friend, very cool song!👍

    Best wishes,
    Bob

Thanks Bob. You are too kind

Pretty much ditto what Lynn said except I think the timing seems too rigid or something.

Thanks Bjorn. I forgot to humanize

kakku, this is a pleasant surprise.  It has a nice blend of upbeat pop with shred guitar, and the arrangement has a few unexpected turns that held my interest.  IMO, arranging is one of the hardest things to master even if one can make a good mix.  It can be learned, up to a point, but is mostly in-born.  You seem to have the touch because I never know what to expect from you.  Keep it up!

Thank you for the nice words and analysis

Hey, Kakku, how are you, my friend?  It's really great to see you made it over here to the new forum!😀

Thank you so much for checking out this new video for me, and for your very kind comments, greatly appreciated!👍

Thanks again and have a great weekend!

    Bob

    Thanks, Bob

  11.  I had to listen to this again. I kind of hoped that it wouldn't sound as good as I remembered. But it did sound as good as I remembered. Especially the guitar lines. It inspires me to make better guitar lines. So next time when I make rocky tunes I have to listen to this tune for inspiration

Does have a poppy quality to it.  I'm hearing something that sounds like a sax in there.  Nice touch.  Is it a real horn? Makes me move my feet.

Thank you. I use only vst instruments
