  1. Thanks for jumping in the thread! I think this is a super practical plugin, and has a great place in the toolbelt. I think it’s the micro time savers like this and making full use of keyboard shortcuts which result in creativity not being limited in the macro final product. While some automations can take time (long or short), it’s still time that can be saved, which all adds up down the road. And the fine tuning of the curve is a BIG plus. Keep it up!
  2. Great tip for beginner logic users (though i know most of y’all are windows), press “a” for automation and draw in a couple fader changes. Though tools like this and transmutator by jmg audio can save a lot of time with technical sound design moves, and can be useful live for transitions & what not. Maybe Zynaptiq morph if you’re looking to get fancy
  3. Looks pretty cool, i like to keep a shortcut to my AU “components” plugins folder easily accessible in my main dock, since i’m a logic pro user exclusively and find myself digging in there often to delete plugins. If vst or aax plugs get installed i manually delete them from the nearby subfolders. Can see the value in this though if i plan on updating and need to know what might stop working. Thanks for the post!
  4. @dubdisciple@Philip G Huntthank you for sharing your experiences! Feeling a lot more confident with my next steps from here
  5. Is there any value in this if you already have and use the captain plugin suite (chords, melody, deep, etc.) to generate ideas as a starting point for composing? Say if price were not a factor, is it better &/or would it be worth the time? Youtube comparisons aside, i’m just curious if anyone in this community has experience with both
  6. Unveil looks good no doubt, does what it says—but at a 3490% increase in cost i might just go grab a better mic. Guess ya get what you pay for
  7. Certainly appreciate all the thoughtful and thorough responses, sounds like my best bet in this case is to wait until the next voucher giveaway to grab it for free, then.
  8. Is SPL deverb worth $10? Say as an alternative to izotope RX or the new waves clarity one? In other words does anyone have it and actively use it?
  9. Waybackmachine if all else fails
  10. Wonder if they are also working on a future with loyalty pricing that reflects money spent collectively between the three companies, vs. specific products owned as the qualifying criteria for a discount. Or maybe they’ll just keep it all the same/separate
  11. Still there for me (menu > your account > manage your licenses)
  12. 2023-06-50XS43X6FVLT $50 voucher, $75 minimum spend i think. Have at it
  13. All this history so inMusic could swoop in with a few dollars and give them the BFD treatment
  14. So i paid good money for a product I need to pay for again to get updates now? I use gp4 live every week. Stuff like this is why i’m frozen on osx mojave. Wonder if Deskew’s decision is related to dealing with soundwide/Francisco partners instead of dirk, or something like that? Regardless, I shouldn’t be punished for someone’s finicky business decisions. Mainstage is $30 & performs many of the functions I need, I have no problem trying to make that work how i need it to (Yes this is my official breakup text, Deskew) Hope you & Waves enjoy a good life together.✌️
  15. Dumb question for anyone who has used this already: if this helps clear up unwanted audio that is part of a vocal recording (reverb, in this case?), does it significantly compliment the regular ClarityVX in doing what that plugin does well already, or is this just metaphorically like cutting a slice of bread with a knife instead of scissors (in other words, is it unnecessary if you already own the first clarityvx for vocal audio quality cleanup)? just trying to read through all the waves hype & understand the differences & applications (if anyone knows), & whether it warrants another $30 purchase. context: i can’t use either yet, but it would be part of a few plugins that I would start using when i do upgrade my machine soon… if it’s worth it. As i stated i already have the first clarityvx, but can’t use/demo it on my machine yet. Not updating yet for complicated reasons. Opinions welcome
  16. Much appreciated, didn’t realize that at first. Good to go now
  17. I got dynamics , & accidentally registered smart:limit to ilok not realizing you can just register the plugin via the license number they give you. Now i can’t use it bc I didn’t realize that it’s dongle only, & I don’t have one. Is it possible to retract a license from ilok, persay? Feeling like I do when I ask questions lol. Emailed sonible in the meantime.
  18. Have the modern pop library and love it. Cuts through nicely and the creator said in a yt vid i saw a while back they’re pre eq’d. They also have a few decent free packs with sound files (that you can make your own kontakt library file out of), if you have full kontakt and want to “test” the sounds first. Otherwise they can be loaded to any sampler
  19. Thank you, I really appreciate your perspective here—safe to say I’m strongly considering this library at this point (though I might sound reluctant at the same time), just need to plug in a good set of headphones to hear all the unique characteristics. I can think of a few applications for the jazzy-ness of this one in my productions. Over here trying to talk myself out of GAS, but this does indeed seem like a good one 🫣😆
  20. I’m too lazy to grab headphones, but sounds pretty close to Noir, to me. NI Noir: PIB (first 20 seconds): Almost pulled the trigger on PIB until I heard how close they sounded. That said I don’t have professionally trained ears either, so i might be missing out here
  21. Ah how did I not think of that one. thank you!
  22. Truly dumb question… that I haven’t been able to figure out. I know what the concept of GAS means, but is it intended as an acronym? I see it everywhere, so I imagine it has a meaning of some kind since it’s always in capital letters? Like Gross Accumulation of Spending…? or Great Asset Stockpile.. ? Guilt-Associated Spending? Am I close?

    BFD 3 $99

Got v3 when it was $49 last year, i like to produce offline bc I’m not a fan of leaving my computer connected to the internet. I don’t like that it needs to do an authorization check every 90 days or else you can’t use what you paid for. But for what I paid I guess it’s w/e. I do like that plugin boutique has good sales on the expansions sometimes, and the GUI isn’t littered with animations that bog down CPU. I am an acoustic drummer first, & also use this in tandem with Roland TD-4, mapping took a minute but it’s solid for my needs, velocity articulations pick up well. Keep my libraries (core & jazz noir) on an external drive & everything runs smooth for me on 8gb RAM. Can’t compare with SD3 since I don’t have it, but I also use BFD in conjunction with Trigger 2 to beef up the sound and it makes for an even better experience in my case
