Just a word of caution in case users suddenly get CbB-crashes.

I installed Ciel last night, seems like a nice plugin, but it (at least it seems like it) didn´t play nicely with iZotope´s plugins. As soon as I tried opening or adding a iZotope plugin caused crashes in a previously working CbB project, I also tried it in SPlat with the same result.
Since Ciel was the only new thing added I simply removed it´s files from the VST-folder & eureka(!) - problem solved.

I also got what sounded like swing/internal feedback (in hardware) when using the "GoldenRod positioner" and the same thing with the Eq-section - I assume this is not by intention.

Apart from the above I liked it.

It works fine here, sounds like you might be overloading it. FYI -18 dBfs is analog 0dB in Nebula

  3. www.amplesound.net has released Ample China Pipa version 2.0 which includes many updates requested by users since its first release in October 2018. New functions and samples have been added based on the requests.

The Pipa Strummer is more powerful than the guitar Strummer, it also has a new chord detection function: Users can edit chord fingering on the virtual fretboard, and Strummer will automatically display the name of the chord.

    New sample groups \ articulations:

Expression Tremolo: In addition to the original flat tremolo, a new group of tremolo with large dynamics and vibrato has been added, with 900 MB samples in total.

The Tails of Expression Tremolo: Added 520 MB tail samples for expression tremolo.

Triplets: Added commonly used triplets samples, with 330 MB in total.

Bend Up: Added 150 MB real up-bending samples.

Bend Down: Added 160 MB real down-bending samples.

Removed the keyswitch for manual HP, which can only be triggered in Auto Legato mode.

    New features:

Added a new capo logic mode: Treble String mode. In this mode, more notes will be played on the highest string.

Polyphonic tremolo is able to be played.

Mac and Windows users can use the same library installer. Users with both system does not need to download separate library installers.

Automatically updates file list when opening the preset window.

Added octave number in virtual keyboard.

        New tooltips UI.

        Multiple bug fixes.

Price: $169. An introductory price of $135 (20% off) is available until March 20th 2019.

  4. I can see why.

Every few years they revamp certain policies. Looks like it's changing to single licensing for VEP7 instead of 3, before that it was their Vienna lost key policy.

I'm sensing this per-release is more about getting users on board with their Synchron platform with the free Epic 2.0 incentive. ( Which tbh I have no interest in)

I'm also not finding much info on VEP7 itself which is a bit concerning to me.

  7.  I know of many friends or colleagues that have purchased it. I see many on other forums talking about it as well, plus  remember forums are only a small fraction of actual users or buyers.

I could be wrong but I think ST has done quite well with it. It's a great plugin & I've only heard very few or minor complaints about it.

On the other hand I don't know anyone who bought or even demoed thEQorange.

That's pretty self explanatory IMO.  Pull the demo's of both and
and compare, and then you'll know why.

I've owned FF's MB for years along with their others. This is too  deep with features to hastily try to demo or compare. I've already found better uses for this over MB but won't judge it until I have the facts. For me it's $100.00,  not a bad price .

Funny, I remember many complained on the other forum that FF's prices were too high...until they tried their plugins.😉

i have all their plugins and it's still about 100 pounds-- luckily the pound is unusally soft at the moment which makes it affordable

Same here but still don't know if I'll pick it up. I have MB comps, eq's covered & don't tend to use them that much.
