    Hi

Liked this a lot - and the video was cool - it's a  struggle to continually  come up with new stuff for videos, i know I find it harder than doing the music for them!!

    excellent

    Nigel

You are so right and thank you!

I thought that was Very entertaining !   The smoothness of the song was Outstanding.  Loved it ..  mark

Thank you Mark because I was going for smooth!

  3. Ok so do not watch if you have important things to do today as this video will dumb you down.  However, if your biggest plan is to enjoy a good coffee and have a laugh or two then I am happy to share this fun project we are developing. We are bringing a little live theater back to music.  It does end with a pretty tasty tune.

Agree with others, great song, perfect soundtrack and video for some really well-crafted lyrics.

    Andy

Thanks Andy. Like I said earlier, he wins every songwriting contest we have with each other and I am happy to lose.

Nice slice of Americana/folk rock, I like it. Got a little Levon Helm vibe to your vocals, that can't be a bad thing. I like that lonesome trumpet too, cool addition.

Backing vocals are excellent, perfectly placed

Levon. Ya Thats good I never correlated but you are right. Thanks very much. Will pass that along to Adam

"Fake a smile", interesting lyric, nice song, cool groove.  I like this.

Adam and I have songwriting contests all the time. One of us comes up with a song title then we both write our own version and who's ever is best, we record.  We always record his version haha

  8. Thanks Mark. The female is one SJ Riley.  Adam will love that you heard soul in there. He likes to call his music Soultown. Like the Motown formula of happy music - sad lyrics but a little more sass.

  9. I feel it would be great if our community subscribed to each other.  If we all did it, it would boost our numbers significantly.

We could debate the merits of Youtube's benefits and flaws but for me, it's still the only platform I get to keep a piece of my soul with.

Anyone that subscribes to me, leave your link here and I will oblige.

P.S I am in a subscriber count contest with one of my artists and she is winning so there's a little more motivation...

  10. That weird percussion in the beginning  was an ultrasound recording of Adam's baby's heartbeat a day before she joined us in person.  His impending new deal as a father lead him to ponder the circle of life and mortality.  The video comes with visuals of a child's perspective.  I really love the drummer's expressive take with a hint of swing to get the hips moving a little bit.  I recorded and produced and performed the bass as a bonus because I really love the song.

  11. Enjoyed this very much. I so love when people create happy music over a  dark message. That's the Motown formula

    Very good mix

  12. Really appreciating and enjoying the comments. Thank you! Happy to announce that this track has caught the attention of the Sum 41 boys so they are leveling up. You can say you heard them here first. haha
