  1. Here's some various snares being run through various Plate plug ins, including the new Arturia... The 1st file is dry if you want to import into your DAW of choice and compare with your own, or mimic the settings and tweak them. If you do a "get info" on the files, you'll find the information of what is what and the general settings used. If no setting is listed, it means it wasn't touched. There's 30 files total including the dry pass. It got boring so I figured that's a nice round number. There are obviously level differences and even some setting differences that couldn't be tweaked between several of them, so this is where I claim it's not a scientific test, and it's useless, and pointless, and meaningless, and that every Star Wars movie after the 1st 3 they released were all pieces of crap that ruined the storyline, etc.... Enjoy. https://we.tl/t-2AeHqajUK7
  2. I got the IR's to load (sometimes I have to triple click where it says "No Folder Selected" in each bank). There's a limitation of how long the IRs can be (no reverbs). So this is mainly designed for guitar amps/cabs, but I'm sure people will get creative with it. The XY trackpad is pretty clever, and I love the idea of loading a Vox AC30 on one pad, a Marshall JCM800 on another, a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier on another, and a Dumble on the last one (or whatever yomama's favorite amp is), and then dragging the XY target accordingly. The sample delay is pretty low, so I think it's good enough to track live with.
  3. Signed up. Authorized easy enough. Can't get it to import any of my IR's. Can't even get the manual in the plug in to work. Dunno if they use some proprietary system or something. Found a bunch of bugs I submitted via their site. I'm sure they are aware of them, but I suggest anyone else running into issue do the same so they can fix the issues after their 'soft opening'.

    Ugritone 1989Verb

Pffft. $8.50, sheeeeit. Copped. Thanks, Simon/Lars. The gui does do this annoying thing when you click the presets, you can't "side click" out of them, at least in Pro Tools. Anyway, here's to $8.50 being the new $29.
  6. Lot of Digitech Guitar Pedals Be sure to scroll down and check the bundles as well.
  7. Go buy for $189 here: Fender FA-235E Concert Acoustic Electric Guitar, Indian Laurel, Gloss, Lilac Burst Get rebate for -$90 here: Adorama $90 rebate $189-$90= $99. You could possibly use a cash back site as well (as well as their "reward points"). EDIT: looks sold out...

    Loudness Penalty

I used it so much, I ended up buying the plug in when it was on sale. When I get instrumental 2 tracks from clients that are brick walled so hard I can't possibly fit vocals on top, I can use it to educate them, or use it to back up my request for more headroom. And I'm not afraid of loudness or even distortion, but there's a time and a place for everything.
  9. Blue Microphones Snowball USB Microphone (White) $37 Free Ship enter promo code SNOW in cart I mean, maybe for Skype sessions or demos? Decent price.
  10. Mackie CR3 3" Multimedia Monitor Speakers (Pair, Custom Blue) $67.99 Mackie FreePlay HOME Portable Bluetooth Speaker ($109) Not really up my alley, but maybe someone else is into them or interested in them for a cheap 5.1 rig.
  11. I'll co-sign the Anker. They've worked very good for me with various drives and keyboards filling it up (and a few decent charging points for clients' cell phones as well). I've had issues with others (not enough power for a small Akai, etc).
  12. Of those, I use the Puigchild the most (I love slamming pianos through it). Brauer would be a distant 2nd choice. The AE 3rd, and I've maybe used the JJP half a dozen times total and keep it in the mix.
  13. eBay; OOS But it's still available here: https://www.altomusic.com/behringer-motor-61-channel-daw-controller-motor61#child_index=1612 These will sell out.

  15. I also noticed this one : https://www.amazon.com/SSK-Aluminum-Enclosure-Adapter-External/dp/B07MNFH1PX/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=SSK+Aluminum+M.2+NVME+SSD+Enclosure+Adapter%2C+USB+3.1+Gen+2+(10+Gbps)+to+NGFF+NVME+PCI-E+M-Key+Solid+State+Drive+External+Enclosure+(Fits+only+NVMe+PCIe+2242%2F2260%2F2280)&qid=1575432961&s=electronics&sr=1-1 If you clip the coupon there, it's $24.99.
  16. Sabrent USB 3.1 Aluminum Enclosure for M.2 NVMe SSD in Silver (EC-NVME) $35.99 - $6.48 w/ promotion code 181W2ORJ = $29.51 Free shipping for prime members. Please read the reviews and know WTF you're getting. These do get warm, and putting a newer, faster drive may be over kill. Decent deal none the less, and I'm sure a lot of people copped drives during BF/CM.
  17. If you don't own these yet, I recommend them a lot. Get the demos, try the API on snare, the Neve on vocal, the 438 on guitar, all as they default up. Bypass/Engage. If you aren't impressed- they aren't for you. Then try them all over the place. The oversampling in/out will change the sound pretty drastically, imo. Watch out for that. $20 a pop is no brainerland for me (I paid more obviously).
  18. What's that? You'll have to speak into the earhorn, sonny! Even worse, I got an LADWP rebate for $75 per thermostat (limit 2), so I got them at less than $50 each, and now I can control my a/c without having to leave the Raven. Now if I could just program a macro for it...

  20. I'm not seeing a link in your post. Are you referring to this?: https://www.amazon.com/XPG-SX8800-NAND-Gen3x4-Performance/dp/B07WF9MP9G/ref=sr_1_1?tag=slickdeals09-20&ascsubtag=4525d260153911eaa7110675b876cbfa0INT&crid=3BXBTY9O4OT3L&keywords=sx8800%2Bpro&qid=1575312606&s=electronics&sprefix=sx8800%2Celectronics%2C135&sr=1-1&th=1 XPG SX8800 Pro 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 High Performance SSD (512 GB) for $59.99 or XPG SX8800 Pro 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 High Performance SSD (1 TB) for $129.99 - $25 clipped coupon under the price (this may be for prime members only) = $104.99
  21. They've always replied to me via cs@audiodeluxe.com or support@audiodeluxe.com . Be sure to tell them that the software is not registered yet.
  22. Doesn't require Kontact full. Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Sets, .010 - .046 (3 Pack) $9.99 Ernie Ball Super Slinky Nickel Wound Sets, .009 - .042 (3 Pack) Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Nickel Wound Sets, .009 - .046 (3 Pack) Couple other Ernie Ball deals here I think I saw the same BF deal at GC.
  23. Larry's code works bringing that down to $45.50 ($2.53/pack).
  24. Unless you turn it upside down, then it stands for "Dave Pensado".
