  1. Eh, I dunno.  I've worked in the studio a long time and I turned out perfect metallic rain buzzing pumpernickel applesauce polyurethane.

But for real, after this record I'm on right now, I'm definitely scaling back.

    This isn’t a 670 emu though, that’s another t-rack plugin.

"Once installed, Vintage Tube Compressor/Limiter Model 670) can be opened either inside T-RackS 5 or as a separate plugin."

Maybe they switched the link, but this appears to be a Fairchild clone right now.  Was it a Manley Vari-Mu emulation before?

Carlos, what issue are you having?

I'm not Carlos, and it's not T-Racks, but Amplitude 3 is unusable in Pro Tools, and has been for years.  This means if I'm recalling a session, say for a greatest hits release, I'm boned if I used this plug in.

  4. Sweetwater.  Ugh.

They call and talk to me like a long lost buddy that I owe  for a bar tab or something, then when I get annoyed and say "Sorry, who the hell is this?", they reply "It's Biff over at Sweetwater.  You bought a dozen drumsticks on sale for 99¢ from us and I'm just wondering how they're working out for ya?"....

I can help but think "they wouldn't do it if it didn't work".

I don't mind the junk mail so much, other than for my often luke warmer than they should be eco concerns.

I was going to ask the same thing.

Basically, their version of a UAD Satellite, or external DSP.  They abruptly dropped support after overpromising it for a while.  You could run like 5 IR-1's on it before it choked up, depending on the model.  They dropped support of it, and promised to support it later one but it never happened, leaving users with doorstops.  I had a client with at least 5 of them (they were like $1,400 each at the time)- to this day he refuses to use any Waves product because of this.

This includes the users that had WUP and expected updates because they were, uhm,  paying for them.

Wouldn't seem as fancy if it just said that. Think of it like this: if you were trying to sell a volume knob, you'd probably market it as a beautifully and minimalisticly designed easy-to-use single-band full-spectrum EQ😛
