  1. Anyone ever bought from Cymatics before? Some of their deals look good, but not sure if it's too good...
  2. Just like their post-Christmas sale. It makes perfect sense if you think about it: I mean... everyone's spent their plugin budget during the sale that everyone else had, so to have an after-sale sale means that... oh wait... 🤪
  3. One thing I forgot to mention about the 502: the mouse wheel can tilt left/right, which is great where application support is available. However, the wheel itself has a smooth finish (rather than rubbery). It's got notches in it, so you get grip from that, but for the first few days my finger was sliding over the wheel (rather than turning it) until I got used to it.
  4. I've got a 502 and like it; I use it for gaming, DAW work, and occasional photo editing. If your budget stretches far enough, don't discount a graphics tablet either. It takes a bit to get used to, but could be more comfortable to use depending on what you're doing. Brian, can the Logitech wireless mice be used wired as well (e.g. with a USB cable), or are they strictly wireless? Wireless is cool, but I don't want to have to buy batteries; for a mouse that I use at my desk, I can live with that compromise.
  5. Never tried one of these, and they're not cheap, but if you want a programmable mouse, check out this one: https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mice/MMO-Role-Play-Mice/SCIMITAR-RGB-ELITE-Optical-MOBA-MMO-Gaming-Mouse/p/CH-9304211-EU
  6. https://www.ft.com/coronavirus-latest There's a map of the US states near the bottom. Total deaths as of 7:06pm Apr 8 BST, New Jersey: 1,504
  7. For a moment I thought you meant one of these
  8. The new (Chromium based) Edge is actually quite good
  9. I've got these and quite like them
  10. Also don't forget that Cinesamples do other sales throughout the year, so you can pick up the Pro packages (i.e. expansion packs) to get even more articulations, etc.
  11. If you like orchestral percussion, CinePerc is very comprehensive; and CineBrass also sounds really good.
  12. I think this was an example under their Bundle Maker promotion https://8dio.com/2020/03/25/custom-bundle-maker/ i.e. each is ~$500, and purchases over $999 with the code CREA50 gets a 50% discount. (50% is for >= $999; there are other tiers each with their own discount codes)
  13. Don't forget though that you get a 'discount' when you start buying the larger packs of Gear Credits: 150 GC for 134.99 Euros, up to 1500 GC for 749.99 Euros (even more if you factor in Jam Points). You can then get the sounds you need through the Custom Shop. (Beware though that buying all the parts of a MAX library doesn't give you the same status as having a MAX product, from the point of view of upgrade schemes)
  14. If you can't disable it at BIOS level, you could always disable it in Device Manager in Windows.
  15. I've not heard about this before. Just out of interest, where did you learn about this?
  16. For some reason, I'm thinking two years, but I could be wrong. In any case if you have some about to expire, you could always buy some Gear Credits: don't think they expire.
  17. Maybe in the registry, maybe in a temp/config file somewhere. Here's a thought though: if your install-tracker tracks absolutely every change made to your computer and undoing them still doesn't work, maybe it's not the installer that sets the flag. It might be the program itself that does it on first run, basing the start-date on when it was installed.
  18. It's probably because it's a relatively old plugin, written and marketed long before what's happening now; I can see how it could be interpreted as being insensitive though.
  19. Just a note: it appears from the forum on that site that this is a 'lite' version
  20. I quite like their Ethera series, and also their Designers (Impact/Whoosh/Rise)
  21. For basic raw MIDI mapping, this might be useful: https://www.codefn42.com/notemapper/index.html
  22. I've got some iZotope stuff too an love it. I was referring to how I can use the product portal to activate e.g. Ozone to my machine (without iLok), and that now Exponential Audio is part of the iZotope family, hopefully they would integrate it into the product portal so that I wouldn't need an iLok for e.g. Pheonix.
