Just a quick note - this appears to be the source material for CineSamples Metallurgy, which maps up the sounds within (full) Kontakt for you
https://cinesamples.com/product/metallurgy
Not sure if Metallurgy contains all the sounds though, and $10 is certainly cheaper

Presonus Sphere looks like it's not just a subscription - there are also collaborative features as well (shared project spaces/chat [if I understand correctly]).
I don't mind if they introduce a subscription option, as long as they also offer perpetual licenses at the same prices (which they still do).

Just got this in an email from Presonus.
"We've spent years working on these two products, and they may very well re-invent your production workflow."
So if one is Studio One Pro V5, WTH is the other one? A new digital mixer to replace FP16?
Maybe Notion 7?

Never heard of Stripe.
Stripe is just a credit card handling company - they do the payments processing, so Bandlab don't have to.

And I believe the date at the end morphs in and out between the date and Studio One.
Certainly looks that way!

Slightly less of a discount than last month's Pick-3 promotion, but still a great deal if you're only looking to pick up one or two instruments.

PA might actually get more sales if they broke up their vouchers - $50 into two $25 vouchers, $75 into three $25 vouchers, etc; I'm guessing it's possible to use more than one voucher per transaction?

I still wanna know what happened between him and Izotope 🤔
I have no idea, but probably best not to ask publicly in these forums - last time we tried, the thread (and only that thread) got targeted by a one-time-'troll' and got locked.

especially in the case of BIAS FX, it's just garbage and these are just my opinions btw.
Do you mean v1, or v2 (i.e. the current version)? It's cool if you think that's garbage too; just that v2 was a fairly big improvement over v1 - some people love it, some people still hate it. Just interested in what someone who's really into guitar amps thinks of v2.

Taking the video at face value, I think it's going to be PreSonus' version of the DJ Frog plugin - but with a cat playing the piano.

Can we get Sonar as it is for Linux, with all all drivers, Vsts and all working?
I would switch in a second.....
Just out of interest, are you saying this because you've used Linux before and like it?

I wonder what will happen when Apple switches to the new OS on ARM. Will we be able to run iOS apps on Macs?
IIRC, the press release I read said yes; and apparently the other way around too.

I'm surprised Kenny's computer didn't try to upgrade itself earlier though: build 1511 is the November patch from 2015 - I was under the impression that each patch is only supported for 18 months, which is probably why it updated to 18xx first of all.

Actually, many of those UA plugins are pretty good, like SpecOps and Sandman Pro
Picked those two up with my 'two' vouchers

I've been thinking about getting some electric guitars, and for me it was a toss up between these, and the Ample Sound ones (when they go on sale). I've got a few Ample Sound acoustics that I like and am thinking that their electrics are pretty much the same (in terms of programmability, etc). The OTS ones sound really great too though. Does anyone have any opinions about the AS vs OTS electric guitars? e.g. is either maybe more programmable/realistic sounding, or maybe is one better at strumming sounds, etc?

From my understanding, S1 is made by some ex-Steinberg employees who had worked on Cubase so they probably know roughly how it works to recreate the best bits of it. However, I would doubt it's exactly the same engine.
