  1. Sounds good to me. I certainly do hear the Beatles influence coming through. While I'm not the biggest fan of the fab four, I do like this song - great chord sequence and melody.
  2. Nice song Jane; good mix with a great chilled vibe.
  3. It'd be quite nice to be able to demo them. I know it wouldn't be practical to offer multi-gigabyte libraries for demoing. However, one of the selling points of MODO Drum (as I understand) is that it's a physically modelled kit (or at least the drums are). I assume v1.5 includes the new code for modelling the drums already baked in; it'd be nice to have a demo mode (even if excluding cymbals), similar to how you can demo all of the Modartt Pianoteq instruments (pianos/glockenspiels/electric pianos/harps) which are all baked into the plugin.
  4. Am I imagining things, or have the prices of Tina Guo libraries increased?
  5. The coupon emails usually say something like "since you've bought a similar product before, we're giving you an additional discount on this one"; I suspect it's product similarity, rather than how much you buy.

    Waves free plugin

No - I believe that's the first time you've expressed that opinion 😜
  7. Nice cover - I like it! Were the vocal harmonies sung, or done with a vocal tool? Great sound either way!
  8. Very nice - I like the organic and earthy sounds, and how the whole thing builds up over time.
  9. I've got a few Accusonus products. As this acquisition means Meta will gain access to Accusonus' user database, I guess I expect to start receiving spam* 🙁 * I read a story a while back that Facebook took phone numbers that were promised to only be used for 2FA, and sold them for marketing purposes
  10. You can - two sound banks for (ever so slightly less than) the price of one.
  11. Does anyone know the system/disk space requirements for Synthesizer V and the voice banks?
  12. Not sure, but they do have 'downgrade' paths* - e.g. if you buy NOVO, you get a coupon to buy NOVO Essentials at a discount price. For NOVO Essentials, I understand the samples are the same, but you get an all-in-one patch (and I think some unique sound design patches). * I seem to remember when Heavyocity upgraded their site a while back, then coupons stopped showing in my account; I had to contact support (who also were confused), but they were happy to help out. They may (or may not) have fixed that problem now.

    Darbuka X3M

For years the Darbuka has been a constant colour in soundtracks and music productions all over the world. Applying our sampling philosophy to the various instruments of the Darbuka branch yielded some very organic and fresh sounding results, which combined with our X3M percussion engine are simply a joy to play. One of our main goals was to have consistent Round Robins captured for as many playing techniques as possible to allow writing fast, but at the same time smooth and realistic sounding percussion arrangements. To achieve that we carefully edited every single sample of our 9 Round Robins manually and did as many iterations as needed after extensively testing the articulations in a real life composing environment. The recordings took place in the Sofia Session Studio where we also recorded the previous X3M libraries to allow smooth and easy layering. Crossgrade Discounts from other X3M collections available upon login into your account. Intro Price 79.00€ ends February 23rd 2022! https://www.strezov-sampling.com/products/view/darbuka-x3m.html
  14. I personally love the sound of these; takes forever to load though. When working with these, I suggest writing on a smaller string set, replacing with these, and then bouncing. Though those of you with faster rigs might have no problem.
  15. I think that means it will work on either Windows 10 (i.e. the oldest currently supported version of Windows), or Windows 11. As it's a Kontakt instrument, I would have expected it to work wherever Kontakt runs.
  16. Really like this, Mark - getting really cool/chilled vibes from this. Great work!

    Your Man - Remix

Very nice, Gary. The vocals are excellent, as is the mix - well done!

    Shirin

I like it - it's always tough using libraries of pre-recorded vocals as, in a way, you have to write around them. Great job!

    Curare Blues

Very cool song Lynn - mix is really good too. Interesting use of percussion.
  20. Just wait until you want to upgrade (just) the GPU, or RAM when you've got an SoC - I know; it's not really something you could do anyway with a Mac.

    lufs

Very cool - lots of atmosphere!
  22. Great song, with some nice vocal harmonies too. Well done.
  23. I love vocal libraries, and I like the idea behind this. There's something about Emvoice that just sounds artificial to me though: probably because the generated vocal's pitch is extremely precise and unwavering - I guess it's the same as a modern day hyper auto-tuned vocal though.
  24. I wonder if this applies if we bought it as part of the NI promotion a little while ago?
