  1. The problem exists when closing either by using the X or by File>close Also, was able to test with a different sound card (normally UAD Apollo but tried with MOTU 2408 instead) same issue. Doesn't seem related to either card. I've created new sessions, adding either a soft synth or various plug ins same problem, not always. Doesn't seem related to any plugin or plugin company (waves, UAD etc) Though, if I just create a session with nothing in it and save it. It likely won't hang bunt sometimes does. Problem is random but mostly doesn't close without "end task" not sure what to look for in "services" when it's stuck in the task manager... I can only think it's messed up windows files or something. Haven't reinstalled Windows in years. (alwyas a major undertaking) It doesn't seem to happen with the bandlab version but I'm still using X1 for a bit. Just wondered if there was a particular cause.. Jono
  2. No 32 bit plugins involved. It could be an empty session file; close it and it remains in the task manager processes. I'll post in the UAD forum as that its my sound interface. Thanks
  3. Hey there, this is actually Sonar I'm asking about. When I close Sonar, it often is still open inside task manager and I have to "end task" to get it closed. Anybody know why that would be? Thanks! jono
  4. Doh! Yes, just realized that. Thanks!
  5. Hello! I'm wondering if there is a phase meter that can be used in real time in sonar? I have a gonio meter plugin but I can't seem to get it to display when I have a live input. I want to check the phase of a stereo piano I'm recording, I have the (4) piano tracks panned and sent to a stereo buss, where I have the phase meter. But it only works on playback, not on live input or record. Is there a way to do this? Thanks! Jono
  6. RBH, thanks! That's an interesting thing for sure... What I'm trying to do though, is: Select all, then go to export and have it export the tracks separately but include anything that the track is going through, plugs, busses etc. In the export window under "source category" you get: - tracks - busses - main outs - entire mix You also get a "preset" drop down with various choices like "what you hear" and "busses" etc. but none of them do sep tracks with bus processing and automation. What I'm saying is to be able to select all tracks and go to export window and choose: "Tracks", in the source category But then have a preset called: "track through bus/what you hear" (or something like that) where it mixes out the track with the full mixing path etc. Basically, creating stems that include track contents and bus contents. *You can only create simple one click stems if you aren't using buses, basically. Not sure if anyone has found a way to do this... J
  7. Hello! I wonder if this problem has ever been figured out by anyone: - You have a Cakewalk session with many tracks, each track has plug ins, many of the tracks may be sending to a buss or even to a buss and then to a buss that also contain plugins, automation etc. The only way I have found to make accurate stems of each track that include everything, is to solo and select each track by hand and export them one at a time. Is there still no way to do this in one shot? If a human can do it, I would think the software could do it automatically. *I know you can set attributes in the export window like choosing buses to mix out etc. I simply want each track to mix out automatically, following the path of how it's setup in cakewalk. In other words, have the computer do what I am doing; selecting each track and exporting a "what you hear" final mix-down of each track, with all the bells and whistles from the track and from the buses. Anyone?? Thanks! Jono
