  1. Looks interesting. I’ll have to give it a closer look when I get a chance. Super busy right now with home projects etc. Wife locked door to studio until it’s done.
  2. Now I see why you tagged me in a thread from 2022. My experience is exactly same as @msmcleod I have a Godin and the GR50 which tracks really well live. Only downside is you are stuck with the GR50 sounds which is limited. I even have a bunch of expansion cards but it’s very clunky to navigate the menus. Connection using the midi results in about 15- 20 ms of latency so it’s useless for live triggers of anything else. Most definitely much easier to just use Melodyne of which I just upgraded to the Studio version to get full chords. It’s still far from perfect but the results are much less editing than midi input from the GR50. I’ve never set up the individual channels before but that might be fun to try . It might make less of a mess in PRV. But it’s really hard to Quantize material that is that far off . Especially when the low notes are delayed by almost 3x what the hi notes are. Another good reason to practice your keyboard chops.
  3. True story- I recently built a new computer and I put two 1 TB M2 drives in it. One for OS the other is the “Working” drive. I then removed the two 500 GB data drives from the retired machine. These had all my Cakewalk etc data so it made transition easier. But meanwhile the old computer I was keeping it as my backup and it was fully loaded with everything from the last 12 years and all my software licenses etc. I was constantly using it to sort stuff as I slowly got the new machine up and running with my software and plug ins. I found I needed certain things to be located exactly where they had been on the old computer in the new one or Cakewalk would even crash sometimes. I got everything working and I thought I’d put some recycled SSD drives in the old computer to replace the two I had removed. One old drive was labeled “OS Acer laptop “. I put it in the retirement computer which is a HP pavilion from about 2010. I opened my computer and found a “G” drive which when opened showed as loaded with an OS and a typical list of folders. Fine, I’ll just Format it. When the format was completed the computer shuts down? When I re booted it it all looks wrong? It was the Acer laptops desktop??? This should not be even possible! So as a result I had completely nuked the OS from the HP and it was now running happily on an OS from a completely wrong computer system. So long and short of it is be very very careful when recycling old OS drives between different computers!!! Good news is the HP was long overdue for a fresh install and now has a brand new SSD and OS. but I lost all things related to Cakewalk. So far I only have Next and Sonar Home Studio installed. I am waiting for Sonar to be released.
  4. The thing was W11 pro was actually cheaper @ $75 than W10 pro @ $85. Can An OS is an OS they are kinda boring to me. I tend to ignore them and disable 90% of the junk they offer for the punters. I really never have noticed anything different about using any of my software be it W7, W8.5 W10 and now W11. It just looks different. Big deal. And they hid a few things etc but after a few days I found them by using the search option. Not sure what part of the system is better but performance has definitely improved 100 fold. I’m good for another 10 years. I’d say building your own computer has become much easier than it was in W7 days. I’m a pretty novice tech and it was all a matter of just reading the instructions. About the only thing that sucks is randomly some Air products tell me they are not activated even though they are and open in most projects. You can forget trying to contact them they suck. To bad I definitely depend on DB33 and Xpand2.
  5. It is always a plug in But SSD drives are also worth checking using things like the Samsung Magician
  6. Now is the time to upgrade They do it every year at this time. Each of my upgrades was from the free version that came with Sonar Platinum. It’s always $99. So I’m into it for $300( $400?) now and have Studio.
  7. I used to do what you are doing. I don’t look at the meter I use the peak and hold numbers. I worked in small sections which more or less are one line of the lyrics. I have the G shortcut key to open the Gain dialogue. I would drag over the quiet parts and add a few db of gain. Play the part and observe the meter peaks. It was more of a visual editing process looking at the waveform to find quiet parts as well as listening to understanding the lyrics in the mix. When done I would print the track by exporting it, then I learned about bouncing to clip. This was a lot of work! Now it’s easy. I discovered a levelling tool in Melodyne which is brilliant and became part of my new workflow. It has 2 sliders one to bring up quiet parts and then one to lower the loud parts. It’s percentage based and I’m using around 70% on each. The results are I can toss the compressor and limiter in the trash bin. Well. I still use them as watchdogs. Im not sure at what version level of Melodyne this is included as I had it in the Editor version and I just upgraded to Studio. It’s on sale for a few more days if you need to upgrade. Best $99 I ever spent. And now I can work on harmonies all in one view. So all the tools you need to work on vocals are right there just like you’re working with midi in PRV. If used correctly there’s no noticeable artifacts.
  8. @wiviv you should start your own topic because what you have done is called high jacking. And when you do state what you problem is as this and what gear you are using is totally not clear. Like are you using an audio interface etc
  9. Open the help menu and activate. If the web site is slow be patient. Make sure you are signed in to you Bandlab account. If your posting here you should be already singed in unless you’re posting using a different device.
  10. I just did exactly this yesterday. I opened a song . The song was starting on a Pick up in measure 0. So I turned on Ripple edit used CTRL A to select all and dragged the whole song 2 measures. The tempo track had changes in the first 2 measures and they followed right along. Possibly you didn’t use select all?
  11. We ran over a Moose coming home from my Daughters on Christmas Eve last year. Tonight we will try again with out the Moose. We weren’t the first person to hit it, a large truck took it out first. It was very snowy and we were only going 60 Kph. I was only 30 feet away when I saw it laying across our lane of the highway. This thing is as big as a milk cow. We literally catapulted over it like the Dukes of Hazard. It took out my radiator support and the air conditioning system was also on the ground. This was a Hyundai Santa Fe so we had just enough clearance to result in going over as apposed to hitting it which would have been a trip to emergency for sure. Tonight we will take my Old Chevy Silverado. You always feel a little safer around here in a good old PU. I don’t think an Uber car would have survived! But then I guess you don’t have many Mooses in the City. PS. This was a very remote section of highway with no cell service. There’s not much traffic on Christmas Eve. The next vehicle who also hit it was a big Dodge 4x4 they were unscathed and gave us a ride home.
  12. Ya the TTS1 is actually unique in this way. Most instruments are not GM so don’t respond the same way. I don’t think I have found any other synth that responds to the effects controller in the midi inspector strip. But those usually have midi learn.
