I've started playing around with this idea in my head since the pads on the R8 are really tactile and velocity sensitive. There is a Reaper plugin that logs MIDI data and events that goes thru the channel. If I can somehow get any sysx data from the pads and work out some sort of drum map from Cakewalk...
