But even after you sign up you won't get notified. I've signed up EVERY YEAR since they started this, and NEVER ONCE have I received a "Notification" that I got the plugin, or to get the plugin2 points

Perhaps you shouldn't be beta testing if you don't know what you're doing or what exactly it is you are beta testing.2 points

I was hoping they would offer this during the "Colors" intro. Pitchmap at PB $89 and Pitchmap Colors/Orange Vocoder Nano direct from Zynaptiq for $35 make a $124 bundle (plus you get about $4 "PB bucks" for the purchase from them). The Colors/Nano crossgrade offer expires Nov 12. Zynaptiq site:2 points

I can't say I am not tempted but the upgrade discount from my VB3 1 will be all but wiped out by VAT and IK's Hammond B3-X has become my goto and I am pretty happy with it. So buying it would be for the ring mod and the "vocoder" function plus some differences in tone. Jury's out!2 points

It's more than likely another "lite" version of a soon to be released "full" version, as they've been doing lately2 points

@flange_59163 As Byron Dickens says, some people post their phone numbers and email addresses. What is important not to share with the world differs from person to person. For example, some people will publicly post personalized codes for discounts on software. Others will post discount codes that can be used by anyone. Some people will announce that they have individual codes (or redemption keys) for sale, to give away, or to barter and ask for interested people to contact them privately. I was just surprised because I generally don't see people posting things like serial numbers for licensed software.2 points

Tone2 Firebird. It's 32bit only (and Windows only). @JoeGBradford Just so you are aware as there still seems confusion over this. Cakewalk will not die because of a windows update. It will stop working when Bandlab stops re activation. Sonar we have been told will be available at different price points just like before. Example I had Home Studio which I got on sale for under $40. For sure no guarantee this will be the case, but why not? Nobody knows how much longer Cakewalk will stay functional. All the developers have said is they will give people enough time to transition once Sonar becomes available. Funny how so many people are chomping at the bit to get Sonar. The developers seem to be dragging their feet but the longer the better I say. It will be probably baked and this also means we still have a really good DAW for the time being.1 point

The tagline from the old (maybe before your time) margarine commercial comes to mind: "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature". I can repro that CbB remembers the original order of the virtual ports in the rack and continues to render in that order. Apparently the render order is stored separately, and not re-ordered by the sneaky rack re-ordering trick. I'm still not clear what the ultimate goal is but it might be time to just tell the little OCD man in your head to go away and find something more important to worry about. I have to do this pretty regularly myself.1 point

Thanks for all the work on this - I didn't get round to posting my favourites but I reckon they are all there anyway ?1 point

But now we ruled out that part didn’t we. Now we know you have your sample rate is set the same in Windows, Cakewalk and your audio interfaces control panels. Now we now you have sound to your speakers from your interfaces because you tested it in Sound Settings We know that you have disabled all other audio devices other than your interfaces. Now we know you are using the most updated ASIO drivers for your interfaces. And that is driver mode you are using. Now we know you have made sure your Audio interface is is the only device showing in all the dialogue boxes in preferences. We also now know that all your inputs and outputs are selected too. Open a basic project and play the metronome. Observe the bus pane and the metronome bus. If you don’t hear it then check the output is correctly set on your master bus. A wild one i just thought of, is I sure hope you were not using the MS GM synth? That has been disabled now. He said Sample Rate, not bit depth. Cakewalk doesn’t care about bit depth. It can play all of them. But sample rate is important and explained in the video. You don’t mention if you tried other projects? This is also why I said load a new basic project as that rules out a plug in causing the issue.1 point

Keep using stars on your favs. Agree with augustenz, no need to lose any information. Do not eliminate good or very good libraries: Just choose tiny fonts for those. As a suggestion, I would like to find month and year information in the next entries.1 point

Are you starting with Simple Instrument Tracks (that contain the MIDI notes), or MIDI tracks driving individual VST instruments? I just ran 3 SIT tracks (bass, drums, piano) with MIDI (2 bars), WITHOUT setting up the receiving Audio Tracks first, selected all three clips, used <Tracks><Bounce to Tracks> which opens the Export dialog, set the source to <Tracks> and (starting at track #4) they all printed in order and correctly named in one operation. Then I left the receiving audio tracks in place (deleted the printed clips) and did the exact same <Bounce to Tracks> steering the first MIDI track to the first receiving track, and it also succeeded as expected. This has to be done for EACH "Stack" of clips separately but identically, otherwise it will print an audio track that is the entire length of the sequentially placed MIDI clips. Your issue may be from using PRE-named audio tracks and not steering them correctly inside the Export dialog. If you are using separate MIDI & VST instruments, same thing works IF you select both mated pairs (MIDI & associated instrument track), but again only in "Stacks", as it were. HOWEVER: if you are expecting the printed Audio clips to have the same names as the Source clips, you're outta luck. The resulting audio clips are just named for the source track (bounced). Selecting only the Second set of "Stacked" clips and using <Bounce to Tracks> (steering them again to the first receiving track)... results in this:1 point

I'd say 1 or 4, you've done the work to collect (which includes, among other things, finding those things and the testing you've done to then form an opinion, plus other member's recommendations) and type the information in the list, I don't think that losing that information is good, restructuring or enhancing what is there would be better (if needed). Maybe, if you feel it should be more compact or more specific or organized, a Top 5 or Top 10 section with your favorites/best recommendations for every category and another Honorable Mentions one with all the rest/alternatives. It may also happen that something that used to be available is later not available anymore or outdated (if not maintained by the creator), so any redundancy could be helpful in those cases. Also, why is this thread not pinned?1 point

I don’t know of any audio interface geared for guitar or drums or vocals. That is asking a bit much for a $2000 interface, much less a $200 one for use w a specific instrument. Basically, a good interface/preamp will sound good on most sounds. I’ve used an audient and they are very good sounding. A few years ago they used the same pre across the entire line, from cheapest interface to their $20,000 console. Those were very nice indeed and of all the interfaces pres I’ve used the most “analog” sounding, like there was a transformer inline. I would check them out first. for years I used a tascam uh 7000, which not only had double plus good conversion but crystalline pres. Unfortunately they made it for audiophiles, not musicians, and had high latency and no real expansion capabilities (there was stereo digital in out but no recording of the 2nd unit since tascam told me that they didn’t trust audiophiles with feedback). Shortsighted. They had a real winner . I don’t know how much they go for used. But it is the best sounding unit until I used the new Neumann mt48, a 2 grand unit.1 point

All of the non-destructive gain-staging methods available in CbB are going to process with the same precision in real time - 32 bits or 64 if you have the 64-bit Double Precision Engine enabled (which it is by default). It doesn't matter where you do it in the virtual chain. Nothing happens to quality until you bounce/export to file at a lower bit depth and/or sample rate, EDIT: I should mention, however, that plugins that affect dynamics will of course behave differently if the change is a pre-FX gain change vs. a post-FX volume change.1 point

Although I don't really like this song by black sabbath, I think your cover is better than the original. Maybe it's because of your voice which (as you know) I like very much. All instruments can be heard well, the mix is clean. Good work my friend! Looking forward to your next song.1 point

^^ This is what you want to do. You don't need a specialized plugin like Soothe to do it. Just any EQ that has a "match" function and sidechain - and there are plenty on the market. The great thing about the above video's technique is that, once you have the EQ signature, you can apply it to reverb, eq, delay, distortion, compression...anything. Much more useful.1 point
