I'd suggest checking out these free ones: https://worshiptutorials.com/product/acoustic-ir-sample-pack/ http://acousticir.free.fr/spip.php?rubrique2 Fishman Aura IRs https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f2qdh9jtcl6s5cv/AACRlEt-UVeLAhuvV4YwMY7Wa?dl=0 I have a Taylor 814ce with a Fishman Matrix in it. THere are some Martin D28s in the acoustic ir link that make my Talyor actually sound more like a Martin, the Fishmain Aura actually has an 814ce that used my same system so that is pretty spot on (I also own an actual Fishman Aura also). And the worship tutorial with the 816 is pretty good too. It can take some experimenting but the primary factor is using a capture that used the same pickup type you use. You can use any IR loader. I actually bought a FS07 so I could easily do live shows or plug and play into a recording interface. But using something like the Audio Assault IR loader is even better as it allows longer impulse times, better gain and processing controls. But seriously night and day difference between this method and the Nembrini plugin (even using totally free IRs and IR loaders and plugins) for a natural recorded tone.3 points

Why does every Waves conversation turn into WUP discussion?3 points

Why does every discussion of Toontrack always turn into an SD2/3 discussion? I have never owned, and never will own that program. I am a fan of the Toontrack EZ line of products, and FYI this thread topic is EZkeys...3 points

I'm so conflicted about Waves (danger: last time I weighed in and made an analogy I got attacked for it) due to their WUP. I own 30 of their plugins already and am hesitant to buy more. But I suppose I can do one of their trials. The three libraries I've pushed OTS to do over the years (going back more than 10 years!) are the Les Paul (check), the Hofner violin bass (no comment, but I soon will be) and the Wurli. I guess two out of three ain't bad, right? But man, if Greg could do a Wurli at the level of The Famous E, that would be amazing. Quick, does someone know where to find a Wurli that still works great? EDIT: I love that dude's playing (in the video).2 points

Here's something Cherry Audio has so far neglected to do - post some actual sounds. If you're hearing Oberheim-like sounds, it's those 12dB/octave filters. This synth also offers 24dB slopes for a more Moog-ish profile. Note that this video shows the actual synth upon which the Cherry emulation is based.2 points

I think this would be a great synth for somebody new to synths who wants to learn how to create their own patches from scratch. It's got every parameter you'd expect in a classic subtractive synthesizer plus some not-so-common features, all laid out in a logical manner. Back in the day this would have been considered an exceptionally full-featured synth. Sure, modern soft synths include more sophisticated features, but that also makes the process of learning to program them more intimidating. Plus, it sounds really good.2 points

CorelDRAW is still available as a lifetime license, though it’s no longer possible to upgrade your old version and the one time purchase price is high. Adobe Illustrator is subscription only. Affinity designer is great peace of vector software, still a little bit limited compared to DRAW or Illustrator.2 points

I don't know who actually recorded that one, but it also interesting that the video has almost 3.5M views and less than 700 subscribed.2 points

And When Heath Row saw the breadth of his plugin collection, he wept, for there were no more plugins to purchase. 😥2 points

From an old hardrive, I found this old internet collab project from 2003. I'm still away from my studio for a while so it's remixed on my laptop (with cheap headphones so beware!) -Hope you enjoy it.1 point

It was a blessing for me to receive this chair for only $100.00. at a company liquidation sale. I had never heard of the brand before until I saw this post and didn't think much about if afterwards until I needed my chair fixed. The great part about it is, they honored the warranty!! All I knew at that time after sitting in that chair was ahh, my butt feels good, and so this must be the chair for me.1 point

Invest it in the Golden Butterfly portfolio and extract $60k per year without ever touching principle. too boring? Hookers and blow! 😛1 point

I agree that one move was extremely unreasonable. Other than that one episode though, I find them to be pretty customer-oriented. Certainly more than InMusic’s BFD, which seems incapable of working the unreliability and wonkiness out of their software.1 point

Always best to include the price in the post. Sometimes people won't click through to see otherwise. Nice synth though 🙂1 point

I particularly use Sonicouture’s Broken Wurli. Not free, not necessarily low cost although sales do occur. A terrific sounding Wurli - even including the torn speaker mode. Very Supertramp sounding, or Steely Dan.1 point

For everyone complaining about the lack of content releases, is there something you are looking for in particular, or do you just want shiny new things? Most of the rock stuff I do sounds fine with Fairfax. Sometimes I'll do stuff that might be called Neo-Soul, and for that it's Kontakt's Abbey Road 60s. For electronic stuff I use Battery or RMV. It's crazy, but there's a 20 year old library from Wizoo I still use for chillout things. I can't say I've felt the need for more drum packages.1 point

Yes, PTN files and the ARP files created from them were made using Project 5. PTN and ARP playback was added to SONAR but it never got the editor. I have no idea if the original file is still available on the internet or not. I do have the ARPs installed but it came from a large collection of customizations that get copied from machine to machine. Found a copy of "Alesion ARP Presets.zip" in a snapshot of one of my old PCs incoming files folders made in Aug 2007. The file is now on my Google page under presets.1 point
