I needed it myself to keep track of my purchases from previous group buys and especially the Amplitube a la carte freebies. Glad it was useful to someone else.4 points

Even after the IK GB and all the great Amplitude 5 FX I picked up in that, I still reach for my Kuassa plugins because I can use them with other FX and don't have to fire up the whole A5 echo-system just to use an effect I want... Plus, they sound great! ?3 points

This. There's no way I could swing sale prices for some of the plugins I've amassed if they weren't on sale on KVR or VI Control. You just have to put the blinders on and know what you're looking for. Timing helps a ton, too.3 points

I probably already have all the plugins I will ever need ... said no one ever... ?3 points

but its true. ? IIRC, I just looked at some of the numbers. Inflation shot up like crazy .. fyi.. There is a song on a not particularly well received Paul McCartney record that reminds me of this. but I like that record. Great playing on it by Pete Townsend and Nile Rogers.2 points

My experiences with Toontrack have been nothing but good. I'm sure there was a good reason (for them) to shut the door on upgrades...I highly doubt it was "arbitrary", and just to make people mad...that's not their MO....2 points

We could all use therapy but it actually cost way more then just buying the plugins! So what the heck go ahead and spent the $$. It is way cheaper in the long run2 points

Addictive Trigger is awesome and the fact that it utilizes samples from AD2 makes it an incredible value. If I had one feature request for AD2, it would be to implement a song builder like EZ Drummer, EZ keys, EZ Bass, etc.2 points

I prefer the name used in the documentation Add Track menu Instrument tab. Asking for the Instrument tab to have more of the Insert Soft Synth Options dialog options is not a new request. It was requested around the time of the addition of the menu to SONAR.2 points

It is true, the function called by Insert > Soft Synth... is not exposed for binding. The only reason I can think of is, unlike the other insert "track" functions, "Insert Soft Synth" launches a menu instead of actually inserting a track into the project. This is also the case with Insert > Rewire Device. When I mention things like accelerator keys, it is a way, and in this case a very similar way, to perform the requested task (i.e. keyboard shortcut binding albeit predefined in the program). If you were going to say "Global Menu," that's the name I use for the menu at the top of the main Cakewalk window (shows Track View by default). It might be called "Main Menu?" I haven't run across the nomenclature in the documentation. My guess is that you know, so please fill me in if you are inclined. Why take my post out of context? The question was specifically about the term "Insert window" in the post immediately above mine. I suspected the user meant Insert Soft Synth Options dialog but wanted to make sure. Aside from the Add Track menu all the other methods of inserting synths call the "Insert Soft Synth Options dialog" (as long as "Ask every time" is enabled in the dialog) after the synth has been selected. This is why my response to post "That only opens the menu list" started with "Of course, it all starts with selecting a synth." As for "Global Menu" vs. "Main Menu", this is the first time I recall hearing the term "Global Menu" but I understood it to mean the menu at the top of the application. Personally, I call these the "Main Menu" in any program but the meaning in the OP was clear. As with most feature requests, I have no objection to the request. Generally my replies in this part of the forum are suggestions to accomplish similar results with the tools at hand while waiting for the request to be implemented. Granted in this case, there is no way to create a custom module button but there is a predefined keyboard shortcut.2 points

Hello , here's a new instrumental I'm Trying to finish up. It's kind of a funk /groove type thing , It's a little sloppy but the more I work on it the worse it gets as far as timing. Individual track volumes have been a little hard for me on this one. 5 guitars in the blender. Any suggestions would be a great help. I'm still unsure about the overall EQ , but this is the first time Ozone had basically nothing to change. "Thank You" for your time and help .. mark1 point

Hi Everybody, This is another track for the album I'm currently working on called "The Westerly Sessions Volume IX". As always, any comments and critiques are welcome, and thanks for listening. On this one, I used the Sonitus Multiband on the drum bus - something I've never tried before. The drums are AD2. Here it is: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=143418481 point

Once you factor in the BestCoin rebate, you're only paying 37% of the retail price on Sonsig Rev-A. LX480 is 38% of the retail price, and they periodically do $99 upgrades from LX480 to their bundle which included VSR S24 (at least until recently when they withdraw VSR S24 from sale pending the upcoming release of the beefed up VSR REV6000). So that's probably the cheapest option if you want all three reverbs one day. LX480 now, upgrade directly via Relab's site once they offer the bundle upgrade option again. This is crazy good value and the cheapest I've ever seen them go. https://www.bestservice.com/relab_development.html LX480 $ 137.88 excl. VAT incl 4.35 BestCoin bonus Sonsig Rev-A $ 56.10 excl. LX480 Complete One of the best-sounding reverbs ever built For over two decades, the Lexicon 480L Digital Effects System* has been the standard by which all other signal processors are measured. The Lexicon 480L* remains a popular choice among top producers for the most demanding tasks. Even today the Lexicon 480L* is widely considered as one of the best-sounding reverbs ever built. When creating the first entry for their own product line, Relab Development decided to create the most accurate emulation that could replace this legendary hardware reverb. The LX480 plugin goes far beyond emulation by using the exact same reverb technology and introducing higher density modes and functions not found on the original. The LX480 will set the new standard for reverb plugins in the future. Features Faithfull algorithm recreation LX480 complete have faithfull recreation of the reverb algorithms from the Lexicon 480L*: Random Hall Hall Room / Plate Ambience Twin Delays Exclusive features Additional exclusive features and functions not found on the original: Continuous controls Flexible and additional filter structures for better sound shaping More ER delay lines Stereo manipulation 88.2Khz and 96Khz support Improved originals Improved algorithms with higher density than found on any other reverb plugin (and the original) Quick controls and customizable display Dual Engine configuration You can select between 4 routing configurations with different algorithms in each engine for extremely wide reverberation: Single, Cascade, Mono Split & Stereo Split Interface The user interface for the LX480 plugin is based closely on the LARC (Lexicon Alphanumeric Remote Control) from the original unit. If you’re familiar with the LARC, you’ll find operating the LX480 very comfortable, with the benefit of extra visual feedback and control and editing capabilities. The GUI is divided into: the Display the Preset and Setup Controls the Function Keys the Control Sliders and undo/redo buttons Customization Unique User Interface for advanced customization The display is completely customizable with sliders for HUE, color saturation, brightness, reflection amount and back lighting. The reflection type and background graphic can be modified. Yamaha's lower priced offerings often are very good. I bought one ( RB200 ) or something similar back in the late 90's that still is one of my best recording basses to this day. I have 4 basses that cover some different ground than a standard 4 string. - But I'll reach for it as a first stringer. Depending on your intended use(s) Gig bags are usually just fine if you're just toting it around locally. Simple head stock style tuners a re usually accurate enough for 4 string basses especially. Picks can easily be stolen from any friend who stops by to jam a bit. Same with cables if you have really good friends who are kind of dense. Straps - I recommend a soft style nylon type. Stiff straps kind of help eject themselves off the strap locks sometimes. ( I almost dropped a buddy's 73 LES Paul last week because of a thick stiff leather strap.1 point

Something that came up while I was searching for ways to do this is that FL Studio (not surprising) has tools for doing this as part of their built-in sampler. So if the day ever comes that Cakewalk gets its integrated sampler, best believe I'll be advocating strongly for it to incorporate those useful features.1 point
