I tried using the voucher on the 19 dollar BX_Tuner and it raised the price to $29.99! ?6 points

Download and installation worked flawlessly! Piano installation as well! I have to say that YouTube videos do not do justice to the sound quality of this piano!!! For a freebie it is a must have! Haven't tried using it in a project yet to check CPU hit but seems to be extremely useable just out of the box. Grab it now!5 points

There are currently 43 free libraries in the LABS collection. It is a collection of unique samples that you may find useful if you are into sound design. I have about 19GB installed in my LABS sample folder. https://www.spitfireaudio.com/labs/getting-started/ It uses its own player, that opens as a plugin, which is very minimalist. You have control over expression (volume), modulation, and reverb. Everything else is baked into the preset. But there are some interesting and unique sounds in here!4 points

Here's why I see "Never on Sale" as an important thing for the rollout of Soundpaint. More than any company I can think of, 8dio has the wackiest pricing. They will sell something for $298 and then it's $198 and then it's $98 and then it's a free gift if you buy something else. Or maybe a freebie altogether. So you always feel precarious whenever you buy anything from them. You can buy something and it might come out for a tenth of that. And they will continue doing that. But Soundpaint is a separate product with its own website. It's made by Troels and the team, but it's not available on 8dio as far as I can tell. I think they are making a point that Soundpaint is not an 8dio product and will not be sold in the same way. Soundpaint will be sold like Vallhalla and Indiginus. No sales ever. Are there other companies like this? I just know of these two. As I understand the Indiginus and Valhalla plan, they could charge twice as much for their products and a lot of people would buy them. But instead of a 50% off sale now and then, the 50% off is year round. And that's why the guitar is $20. Would it still sell if it was $50? You bet! But then if it ever went on sale for $20, some people might feel bad. While you may think that "Never on Sale" is not a selling point, it's a massive issue for anything that comes from 8dio. If you paid $98 for a Soundpaint instrument on 8dio, it might turn up as a freebie later. That absolutely could happen. They're saying it won't and I appreciate that. Even the bundle is no pressure because it only discounts $10. Better to wait and get the things you really want. Another tell is that all 8dio prices end in 8, but these have regular prices like $20. PS I think Soundpaint is awesome.4 points

I rarely use samples (other than drums) and had ignored Spitfire Audio as yet another high end strings for film but find the LABS to be an interesting collection of somewhat unique samples suitable for ear candy in arrangements. Arguably more useful than yet another amp sim or compressor clone. But beware, they are high quality marketing hooks which could contribute to you missing something from your wallet... I've bought a couple products since.3 points

What a fun and crazy time. The replay is now available with all of the ups, downs, drama, laughter, and a little meltdown to make things interesting.3 points

OK. Just replaced a grand piano plug in a project of mine that features the piano. Soundpaint 1928 held its own and performed wonderfully with significant reduction of CPU hunger! Two things I am missing though. 1-no pedal noise and have not found it if there is a tweak to adjust! 2-no hammer fallback noise as well,. I know these things sound like nitpicking but those features lend a more realistic character to any electronic piano especially when it is playing completely solo. Hopefully there will be an update to this library that will include them. Nevertheless, I would not hesitate to use this piano! Verdict: Brilliantly done! Hats off!!3 points

I must have too many plugins now because I used to be waiting on the plugin collective with baited breath and now I'm usually thinking "naw, I'd rather not give yet another company my email"3 points

Amplitube is superior to guitar rig Ozone and neutron are exellent but cpu hoggs imho and tracks stuff are just fun to use and faster imho Modo drum srpised me , i have xln and toontrack stuff , gonna use it for sounddesigning my own oldschool drim kinda loops , cpu hogg is the only cons UVI vintage vault is superior to syntronik Modo bass gets used 99 % of the time versus ez bass here So my answer is it depends on how much you gonna pay for the group buy2 points

It depends on what you play and how picky you are. If you play fender rhodes they are often paired with fender twins. I usually go to either amplitube or s-gear for fender amps. If you play B-3 the leslie collection in amplitube is nice. This gb I got the leslie for t-racks for synth/organs rather than use amplitube.2 points

@Scott H It is nice to have variety. Syntronik is very nice to have. As a keyboard player myself you could get Sampletank4 for Cinekinetik plus get the Hammond B-3X. Really if you aren't breaking the bank to spend a few $$ this is really a great deal. I brought Amplitube 5 one of my buy-ins. I watched a few youtube viedoes and thought might as get something totally new and figure how to use it with the keyboard. Mixbox I liked when it came out but couldn't spend the money for it. This group buy made that an easy one for me to pick up. My few cents worth of ramblings2 points

Wow, playing this piano is an absolute joy. It's so lush and realistic. The load times are almost instant, the FXs are fantastic, and the morphing feature is quite cool. It's simply brilliant!2 points

Getting the 2 bundles > Sound Particles Panner Collection: Brightness Panner | Energy Panner + > Sound Particles Doppler & Air Perpetual comes to $87.73 (with code GROUP) vs $108.65 for the 4 pack of the same plugins (w code).... Glad @cclarry posted this as I was on the verge of buying the Sound Particles Panner Collection: Brightness Panner | Energy Panner pack from developer - still on sale but at a more expensive price.1 point

Good decision. You can always upgrade to BBCSO Pro later. Meanwhile, this HOOPUS upgrade is an absolute no-brainer.1 point

Top tier features are things that are useful to the consumer. Never on sale is just marketing nonsense. People don't like when things get sold for less than they paid for them ,sure, but that feature doesn't help me make music. It doesn't make my compositions better. It doesn't even really make me feel better. In fact it may make me feel worse, since it means I over paid for it. I don't have a problem with a developer generally not putting products on sale and telling customers they don't normally do sales. But that is not a feature you highlight on a moving banner at the top of your website. To date every single music software/software instrument manufacture that has claimed to not support sales have at one point or another done something that would ultimately count as a sale or a discount or a better deal. Even the ones that have mostly kept to that line find themselves in a situation where a better deal is possible. It's a silly promise to ever make really, even if it were kept 100% true. It doesn't actually make me, my life, or my music any better. It ranks last on features I want from a product.1 point

I saw a story about the Royal Family a while back and thought it was fake news so I looked in to it. It turns out it is true. Charles and the Queen are descendants and own property in the Transylvania region. Of course, the last I heard the Queen owns 1/6 of the entire planet so it's not surprising to me they own land there, but I was shocked to read they are actually descendants. I would think people would not admit to being related to Dracula the same way they deny being related to the guy with the tiny funny mustache. As for the Ottoman Empire stuff, if you read history and read between the lines there's a very good reason why he acted the way he did. Other armies have had to resort to such tactics over the centuries as well with that particular enemy.1 point

Sorry I have no experience with Goliath, but do consider IKMultimedia Sampletank. There are a couple threads here that mention a "Group Buy" that will get you some bang for your buck. I think Sampletank was my first foray down the slippery slope of computer software instruments. I started with a Roland "SoundCanvas" hardware MIDI box a few decades and terabytes ago.1 point
