  1. Yes, it is not the best place to publish such sad news, but @simonfor sure had good intention and only wanted to express his sadness and share with us. But com on, please do not assume Layle's friends are not intelligent people understanding what topic 'another legend gone' means and it is not related to any deals or joke (how could anyone have even such idea?) . Every subforum creates some bonds between people who are visiting it more often and writing each to other... Some of us are not visiting every part and probably this was why Simon wanted to share that sad news with people who he was familiar here in this place... For me personally Layle was one of greatest heroes music in my younger age. I liked his unexceptionally tasteful performances, so I was shocked with this news... And firstly get know about it here...I didn't think at the moment reading if it is right place I was crushed and felt very very sorry about what happened Anyway we are people so it could happen oftopic we are talking here not only strictly about deals but also from time to time about things which affected us strongly... Yes, it creates mess, yes, it makes harder to find what is related to topic, and yes it creates confusion but we are people so sometimes we are failing to be such robotic precise to follow convenience. Anyway Simon was feeling bad about what happened, wanted to share it with us (maybe not even thinking what would be right place) and now after such 'words' he is probably feeling even worse... This was intention just to punish not caring about how he is feeling now? I am sure you really don't mean it. Hm, should I feel sorry and guilty I published here wishing Merry Christmas topic addressed just to these group people I know little better and feel little more bonds with them because of it? Not right place, very offtopic but I was thinking only about putting some warm words to people I am meeting here... Maybe instead such strong reprimand it would be better to write something like "Simon it is so sad, please share the news with whole coffee forum and move the topic there" or something better expressed (considering my broken English is not the best tool to express what exactly I mean).

  4. Lol don't worry Simon, quite literally *no one* is going to misconstrue your post as a joke or that you meant it was a "deal" that Mays died. Some folks just get annoyed at OT posts and I get that .. it's just that I *never* see that same annoyance at all the OT posts in the coffeehouse downstairs--and several of them ongoing--about bacan or becan or whatever the f it is.. lol just saying, if someone is gonna take it upon themselves to crackdown on OT posts all the time maybe don't show partiality because that's even *more* annoying than OT posts. Rock on.

  5. Hello, My English being very bad, I will make it short. A little post to say to the whole cakewalk community, to all the developers, to all the people who contributed to this project, a huge thank you! What a fantastic DAW, incredible for a freeware! I hope your project will be successful and receive support and help it deserves! Thank you 1000 times and all good for the future!

  6. The H3000 Factory does not include all the algorithms from the hardware unit. Eventide broke out the algorithms into several of their plug-ins including the H910, H949, Octavox and Quadravox (and probably the H3000 delay, IDK my H3000 did not have multi-band delay but it was an older unit). The H3000 Factory is OK but of the plug-ins currently on sale I use the H910 most often.

  8. Slightly off topic here, but just in case someone might be interested in adding more patches (sysex) to Arturia's DX7 V, there's a whole lot here at soundbytesmag: https://soundbytesmag.net/freebie-of-the-month-a-massive-collection-of-fm-patches/ I just downloaded, but haven't installed yet. Back to your regular scheduled programme.

  10. I sincerely apologise if you feel it's inappropriate - that wasn't my intention. And the death of anyone is tragic, whether or not you enjoyed their music doesn't really seem relevant, at least to my way of thinking. I'm flabbergasted as to why anyone would think it was posted as a joke. I leave it at that.

  11. I had the H3000 Factory Native plugin and although had a huge amount of presets/features, I couldn't find much use for it and ended up selling it. I agree with Scook that it was 'ok', but wasn't something that 'wow'd' me.....YMMV.

  13. Weird that..BA didn't work properly for me for ages and then worked fine for a while before breaking again. The last two updates though have worked fine using BA and when it stops working again at least the manual update method is pretty easy.

  15. Release Notes (2020.01) Features & Enhancements Multi-timbral soft synth enhancements. The new Instrument Track Per Output option in the Add Track menu and Insert Soft Synth Options dialog box for multi-timbral soft synths that support multiple outputs. It pairs a MIDI track with a separate audio output track (mono or stereo) for each synth output, assigning sequential MIDI channels. This allows you to have multiple Instrument tracks for a single instance of a synth. MIDI chase is now supported for VST3 MIDI event buses that support it (e.g. Vienna Symphonic Library). Show/hide Aim Assist text in Time Ruler (go to Edit > Aim Assist > Show Aim Assist Time or press ALT+X). CPU metrics in Performance module. Diagnosing glitches in audio playback is now easier with the new Engine Load and Late Buffers metrics in the Control Bar's Performance module tooltip. Experimental aggressive task scheduling model. We continue to work on improving our multi-threaded engine performance and have added a new 'aggressive' task scheduling model. The aggressive task scheduler utilizes more efficient task management that can result in better multi-processing and fewer thread context switches. The new scheduling model is activated by setting the ThreadSchedulingModel value to 3. This can be done via Edit > Preferences > Audio - Configuration File. The Duplicate Clip command now respects Snap By. Build 26.01.0.28 hotfix Fixed several stability issues. Long MIDI project crashes on playback after seeking to high time value. Smart Solo does not unsolo as expected with Instrument Track Per Output. Insert Time/Measures only shifts markers if clip data exists. Instrument Track Per Output does not insert tracks in folder if Create Folder is selected. CWAF Tool does not work with Cakewalk 2020 builds. Mackie Control does not mute per-output Instrument tracks properly. Folders with 'VST3' as part of the name ('VST32', etc.) are treated as VST3 folders and fail to scan VST2 plug-ins. Bug Fixes WASAPI Exclusive mode fails to open inputs on multi-channel audio devices. Cannot open some audio devices such as Roland Octacapture as 16 bit in WASAPI Exclusive mode. WASAPI Shared mode kills audio in other apps. Edit tool has inconsistent drop arrow in Mercury theme. MIDI Chase should support VST3 event bus. Duplicate Clip command doesn't obey Snap By, only Snap To. Split tool uses fade-in curve for both fade-in & fade-out. CPU meters do not work at buffer sizes lower than 1 msec. Audio engine won't restart when changing latency while Preferences is open. Scan of VST3 folder should only scan .vst3 files. Potential crash on app shutdown. Plug-In Browser search is not functional with FX Chain presets.

  21. I tried the demo once a long time ago and found it a bit clunky to use. Just tried it again and it looks similar to what I recall. I prefer the results with Melodyne although creating harmonies is more of a manual process with Melodyne (still quite easy though). IMHO the better option for vocal harmonies is Antares Harmony EVO which I picked up in a sale when it was about the same price as this.

  25. Yep, I know the trick, I have already some tuner licenses... I decided to skip everything what is not in my interest, no more random plugins, tricks etc... If PA don't intend to provide any interesting deals for 50/75 owners comparable for 25V owners let it be... It did really frustrate me... After some months no buying anything from PA I will be again at 25V level with my last year spend or maybe even lose interest in buying anything from them... I do really getting frustrated when seeing "the more you buy the worse you are treated by manufacturer" policy... Anyway there are some alternatives for this plugin like Acustica Audio with Aquamarin4 and SKNote with SDC...

  28. For the record, so far the Sonokinetic freebies include 2013 & 2014 - Sleighbells iOS 2015 Berimbau and Cuica (they don't sell them anymore, but they're included in Percussao do Brasil) 2016 - Ostinato Strings and EMP Mark II 2017 - Ostinato Brass 2018 - Ostinato Woodwinds 2019 - Modal Runs & Ostinato Noir It used to be really easy to get them. You could take your time and hours later the deal would still be there. But now you have to make sure you know the exact time the deal goes up and set an alarm. For me (in Brooklyn, NY) it's 11 am, but I know that for some people it's the middle of the night. If you do that every single day during the "12 Days" sale, you should be okay. That said, they gave away Ostinato strings, brass, and woodwinds and Modal Runs on the second day. Not a bad day to check in. Also, they really telegraphed the "Ostinato Noir" deal on VI:Control the night before. They couldn't have been more clear. They did practically everything except for shouting, "ANOTHER FREEBIE TOMORROW!!!" Still these freebies are so good and so many people don't want to miss out that it wouldn't surprise me that the day will come that if you wait even a few minutes you'll miss them.

  34. if you have the $50 voucher you could add bx_tuner ? for the $75 voucher add one of the $29 plugs (there are a few) I haven't tried it but the bundles start at $5.99 - can you add those ?
    2 points
  35. Grrr... Again deal useless for 50/75V owners... And it is the only plugin on the sale so no way to be able to use it even with additional 'random' plugin added to cross the minimum limit. Hm, but maybe it would work as kind of desensitization and in turn I would lose interest in looking at any deals from them?

  38. While I’m not gonna go for it as I don’t wanna spend the $250, this looks like a pretty darn good deal to me. This is really what subscription services should be. This does away with the feeling of “once my sub ends I have nothing to show for it” which stops me looking at sub services.
