R Henn Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM I was disappointed to read in this post below: “Please note that this offer is only available to new subscribers. If your current subscription is nearing its end during the sale, you can let it expire, cancel and then resubscribe to take advantage of this new discounted rate.” So, loyal users (30+ yrs here) must pay full price ($150) to stick around, while newbies pay less than half ($70)? My subscription renews Jan 11. So I’m supposed to cancel today, and sign up tomorrow? What does “nearing its end during the sale” mean anyway? Is there a date range that qualifies? I looked for a customer service email but couldn’t find one. Really sad.
Byron Dickens Posted yesterday at 04:04 AM Posted yesterday at 04:04 AM They told you how to get around it....
Amberwolf Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM But...it shouldn't have to be "got around". If they are allowing it to be got around they are allowing existing users to use it so they ought to just let existing users use it. Not have to dick around to get it.
Byron Dickens Posted yesterday at 07:37 AM Posted yesterday at 07:37 AM There's the world of "what if" and the world of "what is." One is easier to live in than the other. 1
R Henn Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM I think @Amberwolf made my point better than I did. And I was flat out wrong to complain about the lack of a support email, as it is plainly included in the same forum post I quoted (support@cakewalk.com) by @Ashwin Rao. My bad! I’ve sent an inquiry to support.
