Lukasz Posted Saturday at 10:55 AM Posted Saturday at 10:55 AM How can I make my own theme colors for Cakewalk Sonar Free?
Bristol_Jonesey Posted Saturday at 01:37 PM Posted Saturday at 01:37 PM Preferences > Customization > Colors Select the area you want to change from Color Category dropdown.
Bass Guitar Posted Saturday at 03:40 PM Posted Saturday at 03:40 PM I found the most useful thing that they kept is the saturation slider. Play with that and it helps a lot.
Lukasz Posted Saturday at 04:02 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:02 PM (edited) I think there is a bug whatever I do to change the color doesn't change color I put everything in red as you can see and I clicked apply Edited Saturday at 04:03 PM by Lukasz
Bass Guitar Posted Saturday at 05:39 PM Posted Saturday at 05:39 PM If you do that what does a project look like. That screenshot is only showing a menu dialogue

Lukasz Posted Saturday at 08:11 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:11 PM (edited) Its fine then I will use the themes they provided, I wish i could change the interfaces colors, hope they add it to free Sonar Edited Saturday at 08:59 PM by Lukasz
gmp Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago From what I hear they are working on a real Theme editor like we had in CbB and Platinum. This will be a game changer. I hope it happens soon 1
AB99 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Yes. They posted about working on a theme editor. It is probably a super major update and therefore they have to be careful not to mess up with the audio portion. So, yes, I hope it is soon, but I also hope they take their time to get it right! Colin Nicholls Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Okay this thread needs a reality check. There is no promise of a full-featured "Theme Editor" coming any time soon. We have, however, been given the following: Quote Color customization We are in the process of refining our existing themes and bringing new color theme customization capabilities. We look forward to posting more about this soon! "color theme customization capabilities" could refer to many things, any of which are not near the functionality of a "theme editor". 1

This is in the quote: "new color theme customization capabilities." I think we are talking about semantics here. The Bakers know what is wanted. Either we can make changes to get colors and contrasts that are desired for a better workflow, or we can't. At this point, I trust the Bakers. I have been with them for a long journey! And the fact that they are not rushing it, is also a good sign imho. BTW, even a so-called "theme editor" as a title, does not mean all elements of a theme can be edited.
Colin Nicholls Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Quote I think we are talking about semantics here. Well, of course it is semantics. "Theme Editor" has a very specific meaning, given that we already have an understanding of what a "Theme Editor" would be expected to look and function like, thanks to the precedent set by the existing Cakewalk by Bandlab Theme Editor. Knowing that the coming "color customization" feature cannot possibly match those features is exactly why we shouldn't use the term "Theme Editor" for it, in my opinion. Of course I'm looking forward to the color customizations in later versions of Sonar, but also be mindful of how we refer to them.
