Salvatore Sorice
Hmmm. I was working through a tutorial and wanted to use some Sonitus Plugins. Tried to browse for them but none appear except for the Sonitus SurroundComp. They are in the scan path. Tried rescanning, scan failed plugins, etc. Even tried copying one of the DLLs to another folder in the scan path, No luck. They are not disabled. If I load a project that includes them they are working fine! I must be missing something simple. Any ideas? Amberwolf
AFAICR, the Sonitus plugins were DX, not VST. (at least, the ones on my ancient SONAR, and SPlat, are). If yours are installed but not showing up, you'd probably have to manually re-register them using regsvr32. Or, if you are using a 64 bit version of the program, and the plugs are 32bit, maybe that could cause them to not show up. I dont' know a workaround for that other than using a 32bit version of the program or a 64 bit version of the plugins.

They are completely different UIs, and some functionality is either different or doesn't exist anymore. There's a thread around here somewhere about them that shows some of those differences.
azslow3
I don't have membership, so I don't know for sure... but from all announcements: if (1) someone has membership, (2) new core plug-ins are installed, (3) VST3 "Replace if possible on project load" is enabled, then all unlocked Sonitus DXes will be auto-replaced by membership locked VST3 Core plug-ins. That route is one way, so it seems like if someone ends the membership: a) explicitly added or auto-replaced new plug-ins will stop working b) implicit plug-ins may stop working, but I don't know (and I can't test) if implicit plug-ins are auto-replaced. By implicit plug-ins I mean FXChains and Style Dial PC knobs. I couldn't find any info about (b).
Salvatore Sorice
Thanks all for the comments. I tried using @Noel Borthwick redistributable installer, tried regsvr32. No help. I know about the auto-replace feature, but that is not the issue. The issue is that the Sonitus plugins are installed and work (ie, if I load a project that has them they work fine). But I can't find them anymore in the FX Browser, etc. (see my screenshots above). Maybe @Noel Borthwick or @msmcleodcan let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance! Xoo
That's because the VST3 replacement function hides them.

Under Preferences/File/VST Settings I unchecked "Hide Related Plug-Ins" and the Sonitus ones are now visible. I guess they are "related" to the new Core Plug-Ins...
