Bass Guitar Posted October 30 Posted October 30 This never used to happen in the past 15 year for me. I’ve always been able to do anything I want and run multiple apps. I always disable the allow this device to have exclusive access to the Audio Device. This in the last 4 months on W11 now seems broken. All my Daw’s have ASIO issues if I fire them up after I have been using other apps. And the other thing now broken is OBS studio won’t recognize my Daw’s output via Loopback? Theres been a few posts on this , Mixcraft and Studio 1 forums that people are getting audio cracking or distortion on systems that never behaved this way. And these people are using RME, Focusrite or Motu interfaces. W11 has done something. I get that message you are showing just about every time I start Sonar Platinum. Other Daw’s also are showing similar warnings. It’s seems to me like the change to the way W11 Home shows the Audio system options is not working correctly. W10 it is much clearer.

I'm sorry, I need to clarify, I'm not having connection issues. I wanted to know what the asian looking letter next to the question mark was, I'd never seen that before on this pop up. In my case the pop up is because I put my rig to sleep when I shut down for the night, so I'm used to the pop up box, I'm just not sure what that little symbol is. Sorry for any confusion.
sjoens Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) I posted similar issue on this. Edited November 13 by sjoens

You'd need to post a higher resolution image of that symbol to be able to translate it. Most likely it is what the driver name reported to sonar is, even if it isn't the name you see in windows (but that should be the same). 2
mettelus Posted October 31 Posted October 31 +1 Google Translate will translate images (via their website) if high enough resolution. It will also interactively translate text with the camera on your phone (with the phone app) which is handy if you are traveling and need to read something in a language you do not read well (that actually replaces the text on the live camera image with the translation which is rather cool). It looks like simplified Chinese, but I do not recognize it. Are you running any new VSTs or used any other apps that accessed the device? Depending on the programmer, even if they script an app to be in English, some of the warnings may remain in the native language. An example is that Insta360 is a Chinese brand, and even though their app installs and runs in "English," some dialog boxes spit out Chinese as well.
sjoens Posted October 31 Posted October 31 (edited) Some say this may help: But so far it hasn't, so I'm still not sure what's going on yet. Edited November 1 by sjoens
