File attachment size shrinking drastically?

We used to be able to attach a few megabyte of files, maybe something like four? (was at least 2.5megabyte back in 2024; my attachments list shows a couple of that size back then (dmp files to help Varorium fix something). 

 

A little while back (months? weeks? it shrank to around a meg and a half.  

 

Now it's down to less than 30 kilobyte....

In replying on my cell the bottom of this box says 4.88MB max (total and file). Do you have other attachments taking up the missing space?

(Reports of shrinking appendages are going to scare off forum members (for fear of their members)!)

That's what I thought I remembered it being...but it's not that for me.  😕   

 

I must be missing something obvious somehow, whcih isn't all that surprising.

I looked at the My Attachments page in my profile and saw this "You have used 9.86 MB of your 48.83 MB attachment limit" so maybe your problem is related to being close to, or exceeding your maximum limit for attachments.

Hmm.....lemme see....I completely missed that big gigantic orange bar at the top of that page, which clearly shows that I've used up all the space. 

Guess I'll go delete some older stuff.

I just checked my attachments and it includes PMs... I deleted 3 attachments that were in PMs so that space was recovered (same thread), but then went into the thread and they are still there.
