Will there still be a latency after the plugin is closed?

Is there still a latency in the track of the Cake Walk Sonar after the plugin is closed (only closed, not deleted)? Does Cakewalk sonar have a plugin sleep function similar to other DAWs, which means that there will be no delay when the plugin is closed

@Xiaowenn if you have effectively disabled a plugin by turning it off, if that is what you mean by closed, then it is not active, therefore not contributing any processing load.

Delay compensation is still in place when you bypass a plugin, otherwise you'd get glitches every time you toggle bypass/enable.

But PDC gets recalculated when playback is restarted, and the contribution of any plugin that's disabled in the bin will be eliminated at that point.

In addition to disabling the plugin, Sonar has a PDC [Override] button in the Mix module that will override PDC on input-monitored tracks so long as the PDC-inducing plugin(s) is/are not on that track or in its path to the ouput.
