cabrol Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Hello, First, excuse my bad english, I'm French But i try to learn. Here is a strange issue for this new version, that i didn't have when i was using Bandlab for the same track... When i export a midi section in audio, the sound is completely different. Here is a video. Could you explain me that *****ing issue ? Vidéo.mp4

Could you send a copy of your project to @Jonathan Sasor? We can take a closer look at what is going on.
Noel Borthwick Posted September 5 Posted September 5 @cabrol also instead of using the freeze button do the same test by selecting the synth tracks and doing a bounce to track. Does it sound the same in that case? This could be a plugin specific issue with bounce.

Noel Borthwick Posted September 5 Posted September 5 If you load the exact same project in Cbb it is fine? One more thing to try is do a realtime bounce or freeze and see if there is a difference. If you send your project file you can also CC me.

Is there another way to do that ? What's the track's arpeggiator and how to disable it if it's the cause of the issue ?

David Baay Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) If you have more than one track doing this, it's probably not the arperggiator. It may well be the plugin not playing nice with Fast Bounce. In that case, another thing to try would be increasing your ASIO buffer or setting a non-zero BounceBufSizeMsec value in Preferences > Audio > Configuration File to override it when fast-bouncing. I have mine set to 20. Edited September 5 by David Baay

cabrol Posted September 7 Author Posted September 7 I have another same kind of problem with the audio export this time... When I export my project in Audio or mp3, the midi sounds don't export correctly.

Is this still involving Spitfire's BBC Symphonic Orchestra? I know the Bakers are already looking into that, but if you're having issues with other plugins I'd be happy to look at any demo project for which I have (or can acquire for free like the Spitfire library) the relevant plugins to see if I can repro the issue or maybe help identify an avoidable cause. Bounce/Freeze/Export all use basically the same code so it's no surprise - even expected - that an issue with freezing would also manifest in a non-realtime export.

I tried with one BBCSO track only, and the issue appeared. The others plugs-in don't create that. If you have sonar and BBCSO, I think you can observe the phenomenon.

Studio One gives the same incorrect result as Sonar, indicating BBCSO inherently has issues with offline rendering using default settings. I tried other settings and the result only got worse. (e.g. completely flatline audio). This will need to be taken up with Spitfire support. 1

However, everything was perfect with Bandlab, I've never had this problem. I'll try to contact Spitfire.
David Baay Posted September 9 Posted September 9 5 hours ago, cabrol said: everything was perfect with Bandlab I don't have CbB on this machine, but Sonar Platinum 17.10 produces the same output on freezing, so either the problem just didn't manifest with the particular MIDI content and instruments you were using at the time or possibly Spitfire have updated their rendering engine since then and created a problem.
cabrol Posted September 12 Author Posted September 12 So, I contacted Spitfire 2 days ago. They gave me a procedure that seems to work, with 3 corrected files. I haven't checked all my projects, but, for 2 of them, it's working good. I'll check the others next week. 1
