Michael Richards
Who owns Dimension Pro and Z3TA+2 64? They were wonderful Cakewalk plugins. They covered so much ground. Is there any chance that they can be updated?
Bass Guitar
Dim pro is on a lot of my projects as I depend on the Acoustic Bass in a lot of my music. I don’t think it needs updating as it and Rapture Prob are still very good quality samples. They are easy on the CPU. Between them and Air’s Xpand2 Im covered for a lot of sounds. And because they are separate installers from Sonar they are totally available in all my other Daw’s.

Andrew Macaulay
Was going to ask the same thing, but would include Rapture Pro and Z3TA+2 simply because Rapture Pro is at least VST3 already and include all of Dimension Pro and neither Rapture or Dimension Pro had been developed for a long time before Gibson sold Cakewalk off. For any from the Cakewalk staff: some clarity on whether we might EVER see these being upgraded, or if this is NEVER going to happen (for example, if rights to the software have not been released by Gibson) would be really useful for us.
Alan Tubbs
Cakewalk updated(?) the old DX effects to vst. At least they look and work much like the old sonitus suite. The compressor has one of the most explicit graphs to show how the knee worked. so maybe there is hope for Rapture etc to upgrade. It would nice to have the presets all work like Rap Pro for all the dimpro/rapture presets. My biggest problem is getting the old synths installed and activated. And I still use them on new projects. @
Michael Vogel Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM (edited) I don’t think Cakewalk ever owned the IP for Dimension, Rapture or Zeta. The name Reneè Cabalos springs to mind (but not certain) as the developer from whom Cakewalk licensed the software. That same principle covers some of the VSTs which are no longer included with Bandlab’s current offerings. You may own appropriate licenses to older versions which were included with Sonar during and before the Gibson era. If that’s the case you can access them all through Sonar’s old product download manager available with your old login via the legacy Cakewalk site at https://legacy.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fMy-Account hope that helps someone. here is a list of plugins (spreadsheet) and which version of Sonar included them,Sonar Plugins Sonar 3 to Platinum.xlsx Edited yesterday at 03:04 AM by Michael Vogel File link and update
Bristol_Jonesey Posted yesterday at 06:44 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:44 AM I~f you ever did own these plugins, you can access them from your Cakewalk Account. That's NOT the same as your Bandlab Account.

Cakewalk bought the company in 2005 and there's been hints on this forum from the devs of re-offering some of these.
GroverKen Posted yesterday at 02:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:40 PM I’ve just bought a new Windows 11 laptop and they all installed and are working perfectly.
Bass Guitar Posted yesterday at 03:15 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:15 PM Still not sure why some are looking to see them updated? They seem just fine the way they are to me. I have been using Rapture pro mostly and in other Daw’s as well. Always worked and seems way easier on the CPU than Kontact which I find will even crash Sonar. They have their own installers and only a fool would not have saved them along with the serial and registration numbers a long time ago ( 2017) Bandlab still controls access to the server where those are stored and this is of no benefit to them. They have every right to discontinue this service.
