Jan van Schalkwyk
or do I need to configure something to make it work. Most of my projects are midi only. This works in Cakewalk by Bandlab Cheers Jan Edited Wednesday at 06:54 PM by Jan van Schalkwyk Spelling
Jan van Schalkwyk
This should be an easy fix? @Noel Borthwick
Noel Borthwick
We'll look into it. Technically MIDI files are not "projects"
Wookiee
@Jan van Schalkwyk how are you saving them? Only files with the CWP Cakewalk project file extension show. If you save as MIDIO- 0 or 1 they will not appear.
sjoens
At least in CbB, normal (cwp), template (cwt), cakewalk (wrk), bundle (bun), riff (rmi) and MIDI (mid) files all show in QS.

Technically you are right BUT It always worked in several previous incarnations of Cakewalk. Even in CbB. To some of us midi has always been a "project" 😀 It would make me extremely happy if this is fixed

I don't think I will be saving them soon as there would be no benefit. I think a midi only file should appear. It always has before?
User 905133
I don't generally use the quick start screen, but I checked some of the recent files I have opened and they do include a few *.mid files. Out of curiosity, does the current quick start screen also include *.wrk files? ADDENDUM: I answered my own question re: *.wrk files: yes. (FWIW: date/time/length error reported via in-app form.) Edited Saturday at 07:46 PM by User 905133 typo fixed; ADDENDUM added re *.wrk files
sjoens
IWT as long as backward compatibility is baked in, all older formats should show.
ptheisen
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but when you installed Sonar, did you use the custom install, and if so, when it asked you which file extensions to associate with Sonar, did you include ".mid"? Yes. It is associated with midi files. Midi files do show up in File Menu under recent files but not i Quick Start
