Steve Ennever Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM OK, is there a simple provision, like on all professional mixing consoles & Pro-Tools, to send a channel/track to more than one bus simultaneously. I realize you can set up a 'send' to do this, but is there no way to simply command - this track goes to bus B & C? Thanx Steve E
Bristol_Jonesey Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM On a professional console you would have to click n number of buttons to send to n number of busses Similarly in Sonar, you have a to click the + sign and select a bus.
Steve Ennever Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM Hi, press + where exactly? Say I would like to send track 1 to busses B, C & D simultaneously, how would I implement this? Thanx Steve E
Colin Nicholls Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM HI, @Steve Ennever See the image below. Track 1 is primarily directed to Master (by default) but I have also created a SEND to Bus B, and I'm about to create a second SEND to Bus C having right-clicked on some empty space in the Track Header. After that, Track 1 will be simultaneously outputting to Bus A (Master) and Bus B and Bus C

Thanks for asking and thanks for the solution. I have never done this in Cakewalk (only on some hardware mixers) and once I added a Send to a Console Strip and then expanded the height of the Sends module, there it was! 🙂

Max Arwood
This feature is great for parallel compression on the master bus too. Occasionally I do tri-parallel compression/saturation splits and blend back to a master bus.
timeworx
Yeah - this functionality is essential. I send literally EVERYTHING to multiple busses, and often on to a summing bus from there before sending to the Master Bus. My original tracks almost never route directly to the master. Glenn Stanton
same - pretty much everything goes through sub-mix busses or aux tracks, then stem busses + effects busses before going to the master and various output busses for printing, monitoring, alternate mixes etc. DAW template - 02 - mix.svg Edited 1 hour ago by Glenn Stanton
