What is this record icon in the track lane that is an open circle with a dot and a line thru it?  I don't recall seeing this in previous versions.

I don't recall seeing anything like that... can you post a screen shot with more context around the button/icon?

Is it a toggle? What happens when you push it? 

What theme are you using? What does it look like in other themes?

What do you see in CbB (if you have it) with the same Track Options selected?

Do you use surround sound features?

I believe that's the Record icon, when you have Input Quantize set.

Yep. That's exactly what it is. Only applies to Midi tracks or Instrument tracks obviously
