John Vere
When I can’t find a vst I look for a sample in wave format. then you use a sample player and I use Session Drummer for percussion. I couldn’t find a good wire brush sample so I recorded my own. I also made a hammer hitting a railroad spike once. I don’t own a Cajon but the music store would let me use one. You could use an iPhone or a hand held recorder like a Zoom. Just record a few minutes hitting it in various places and then you chop them up into samples, normalize them etc.

Hi. Thanks for answer. I've found some free samples in Websites called: Freesound, Sample Focus. I've downloaded them. They are some Wav Files. Didn't find so much... but.. it's a starting point. What should i do now? I have only some drum VST intalled, never made nothing for percussion. It's the first time that i try making something similar. Is there a Session Drummer free to use for percussion that i can use with Cakewalk now? Edited Saturday at 06:49 PM by giant ll
John Vere
I'm afraid Session drummer is not free. It's included with Membership Sonar. Sorry I can't think of free multi sample players off hand but hopefully someone else has a recommendation.

mettelus
It seems most cajon sounds either require a full version of Kontakt, or are included as a kit piece for another drum VST. Ironically, Monster Drum came up with a typo in my Google search (but disappeared when I corrected it) and it has a a cajon bank included with it. giant ll
If it's not possible "for free" using a Cajon sound directly in Cakewalk at the moment for me, i have 2 questions : My project is almost completed in Cakewalk. 1)Could i find another external "free" application that permit me to compose the Cajon part and export in Wav. At this point.. i import in my Cakewalk Project the Wav file in a single audio track? 2)If this possibily doesn't exist, is there a percussion really "similar", but available in the free version of Cakewalk that i could use to make the "Cajon" part? When i've tried to download Monster Drum from that page it redirected me to a page with a message: Maintenance mode is on. I couldn't download or make nothing at the moment. Could it work for me? I couldn't download or make nothing at the moment. Could it work for me? Not sure, that could very well be a defunct plugin. When I first saw it I clicked on the "Home Page" button and it went no where. The people who made it may no longer exist or maintain it. The date on that maintenance page is 2022, so that doesn't bode well Sorry about that. Actually... specifically searching for Monster Drum revealed a version 2 at this site. I just downloaded the VST3 version to be sure it was there, but did not install it. The installation instructions are on that page. The last comment on that page is from a month ago, so that is a good sign.
parboo12
Sounds like Sitala might do what you want. You can just drag samples into whatever boxes you want and play it that way. Google it.

I've found problems in the second part of installation. The Download The Monster Drum’s Library. The link doesn't work to me. It say that i don't have the permission to download from this google drive. Edited Monday at 01:15 PM by giant ll

I have dragged the samples into the box and seems working now. Now Cakewalk see it... I try to compose the percussion part with this, and see what it happen now.
