Sven
I've been freezing/unfreezing tracks for years and today for the first time I was unable to unfreeze a track. I tried all the 'freeze options' to no avail. I can't find a solution via Google searches. Is this a new bug? I was able to unfreeze a different track in the same project so it's probably something specific to this plugin/track. Thanks. (Freeze button not grayed out but cannot unfreeze after left-clicking and trying all freeze options.)

Max Arwood
I have had this a few times. It seems to be related to inputs and outputs on the tracks. The best way to do this is to drag the bounced track to another track just in case everything gets messed up worse. Then add the synth back in again. Set the midi back to the new synth. A few times I have been able to fix it just by redirecting the inputs and outputs properly, but not too often.
Sven
Hi David Baay, Froze it within the last week. Unusal new problem for me. I may just add the Kontakt plugin again and copy the orginal MIDI track and move on. Don't want to waste too much time on this. Thanks.
Sven
Max Arwood, Thanks. Sounds like what my plan was going to be. I try not to waste too much time with stuff like this but I'm always curious why these problems occur. Thanks again.
David Baay
1 hour ago, Sven said: I try not to waste too much time with stuff like this but I'm always curious why these problems occur. Because too many users work around issues without formally reporting them with a demo project so the Bakers have a chance to fix something if the cause isn’t external. sjoens
The associated MIDI track freeze button is disabled which means there's a disconnect between the 2 tracks. Worst case scenario you've encountered a project induced bug and may need to create a new track or a new project. If unfreezing is all you want to do you might be able to just delete the clip which may or may not allow you to reset the freeze button.
Sven
Thanks for your replies. I consider this a minor problem. If it happens again I'll let you know. This is the first time I've encountered this problem after using this feature for many years.
Sock Monkey
You said Kontakt. That is your problem right there! It has crashed Sonar 3 different projects for me so I got rid of it.
Max Arwood
I have had this a few times. It seems to be related to inputs and outputs on the tracks. This is not always a contact problem. I’ve had this happen on other synths before. I think this is also related to the disconnect of track envelopes. I haven’t found a project that seems to help support yet.
