Which version of Sonar contained latest DX version of Rapture?

I am going through some old projects and I have run into some issues where I created the project with the DX version of Rapture.  At some point when Cakewalk upgraded Rapture they decided to not support VST.  Unfortunately this also meant that the installer removed any existing DX installations of Rapture, and I now have a few projects that I can't open because of that.

Does anyone know which version of Sonar has an installer for the latest DXi version of Rapture?  Or do I have to go back to install disks?

Sonar Platinum was the last version that included Rapture LE (DX) . . . at some point, not sure when . . . there was a paid version called Rapture Pro, which had patches from Dimension Pro and Rapture . . . the version I have is VST3.

You can still open those projects in Safe Mode, bypassing Rapture, correct ?

I am actually talking about the OG version of Rapture which came out in 2006 or so which began life as a boxed product and eventually was included in Producer edition.

Yes, I can load the projects but these are old projects from before I was in the habit of exporting incomplete projects to audio.  Rapture is great for creating the proverbial one finger groove and I'm pretty sure that's what I was doing in these projects.  So getting the projects to open is of limited help with that.

Just a thought but what happens if you open the project excluding Rapture  and then  insert a newer version in its place? Wouldn’t it play the correct patches? Or is that the missing pieces?

I have a few versions and I think I still have my 8.5 files. I might even have 6 on a CD copy in a box of junk.  I think when you run the installers you can choose the instruments. I need to figure that out because I need a copy of True Pianos on my back up computer.  I think it’s on 8.5 .

AFAIK the DXi version of Rapture was never upgraded to 64-bit, so it probably won't load in your modern Sonar DAW. I've run into the same issue with old projects trying to load the old 32-bit DXi Rapture that won't load on my modern 64-bit system. Thankfully I kept my old 32-bit PC lying around. Sorry but I don't think there's a workaround as there was never any kind of 32-bit > 64-bit wrapper for DX plugins.

Did you check your legacy account? IIRC, Rapture (full) was its own product, so as long as you registered it, the download and serials would still be in your account information (and can install it via the old CCC). I forget if Rapture LE shows up in that account list, but I think it does as well.

Actually I was in the process of converting some old P5 projects to Sonar.  All I needed was to be able to load it to see which presets I was using and then export the patterns and recreate in Sonar with a 64 bit version of the plugin.

For what it's worth, I don't remember which version I ended up loading but it was either 1.2 or 1.2.1.  I don't believe that version was available through my legacy account but I found it on a backup drive.

The link in my account for Rapture 1.0 shows update downloads for up to 1.2.2. Not sure if I have that installed, if it works, or if its the best version, but it is there.

1.2.2 is the version where they stopped supporting Rapture on DX.  And when I say stopped supporting I mean the installer went out and removed the existing DX.  In other words 1.22 is the root cause of the problem I had.
