The chords keep going where you least expect them to - definitely in the Wookiee style.

I rather enjoyed it - well composed (and played).

I have heard that certain chords are supposed to follow, not quite sure why, I obviously don't know.

Thanks for the ears and kind comments, good to know you enjoyed it too.

Sort of dreamish, mysterious wandering in this soundscape. I like when you go from dissonancies to more harmonic parts like at one minute. Perhaps I want more of that but who am I to tell. Enjoyable and pleasant listening. 👍

To paraphrase the late, great Eric Morecambe:

'You're playing all the right chords, but not necessarily in the right order'

😉😂

😃😄 not sure if some are even the right chords, I keep finding interesting ones with a 4th or even a b5 or #5 that seem so much more interesting. Thanks again, you insight is so insightful 😉

That was very dreamy and mysterious  . I very much enjoyed that creative composition and the somewhat lost feeling I got.

As far as the somewhat strange chord structure ..  After I retired I took some community college courses that used Cakewalk piano roll for composition. A Lot of the young students had not yet been "locked in a box" as far as chord progressions. I found the unusual choices they made  Very interesting and musical but for sure unexpected. I got that feeling in this one..

Enjoyed it ..  mark

this is a very nice groove, I like the jazz thing going on😎

Thank you Sir, nothing like the odd jazz note to keep one on your claw tips.

You certainly make it interesting. As far as the comments about the chord progressions. I notice the same magic when I play the piano. Not so much with other instruments. I don't know why that is, but its very inspiring. Seems like no matter what I do it sounds good which lends a greater degree of freedom in the moment. Hope all is well. Nice work! I like it!

Thanks Mark, I get certain geners need a chord formula, not sure I create for any specific genre.

Appreciate your, time, ears, and your comments.

Music theory  says that certain chords just naturally follow other chords and there's no mathematical formula to explain why that is. It just "sounds right."  It's a human experience thing and I think that's wonderful.  Anyway, I enjoyed your music Wookie.

Thank you Bjorn, I have read a number of music theory books, the Pink & Blue plus others which as you say tell you what chords should follow, but never why. My method of finding other chords involves normally moving the wrong claw.  😀
