equality Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 (edited) Folk or perhaps country and western inspired tune. Found a "lap steel" in an old Omnisphere library. My vocal is admittedly aging and is not under the same control as at younger age. Since English is not my native tounge, I struggled with the lyrics as well. Well, enough of red flags! 🙂 edit: Rerecorded some of the vocals and tried some pitch correction. Edited September 24, 2024 by equality 4

Old Joad Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 I like this a lot, what are you using to create the steel pedal, that sounds very cool👍🏼

equality Posted October 3, 2024 Author Posted October 3, 2024 I wasn't happy with some of bass and vocal parts. Made some changes here as well as levels. Hopes for the better. 😏

mark skinner Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) That was Very Real and intimate. Fantastic job on the steele guitar , it was Very imersive , Soothing and not so country sounding. You presented it well .. it had an emotional feel like a cello does in this type of song. Loved it .. ms Edited October 13, 2024 by mark skinner 1

paulo Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 When I read "country and western inspired tune" I almost didn't listen, but I'm glad that I ignored my general inner distaste for that sort of thing and listened anyway. The only thing that really struck me as something I would change was that the vocal is maybe a bit dry? If it was me I'd be adding a smidge of something airy to that, but then again I probably always have too much on mine, so make of that what you will. 1

Country was maybe a misconception from my part due to the lapsteel. I am glad you listened and commented. I'll check the vocal reverb and level. Thanks!
