Tried something, hopefully funkier than before. Perhaps the bass riff is a bit repetitive?

Kind of sounds like jazz fusion, I like it. The drums are kind of weak sounding and there's not a lot of low end in the recording, I think it could sound a lot punchier.

Thanks! I'll try some heavier drums. Sounds reasonable.

Enjoyed it! Plenty of low end on the bass!  That's a slick bass pattern you came up with!  Everyone would mix differently.   I wouldn't make the drums heavier maybe just a tad up in the mix.  Why the song name "Duke"?

Brought in a heavier drum kit (new version). "Duke" refers some inspirational heros like George Duke, Stevie Wonder (Sir Duke) and Duke Ellington. Thanks Michael very appreciated!

Drums now sound great- perfect mix too.  It was needed to compliment the bass line. Song has punch now.
