Little White Pill

I got the idea for the lyrics from a song by Gillian Welch called "My Morphine"
I've always liked the song for its melody and for the not your usual love song subject.

For my song I wanted to use the melody from Blueberry Hill but I couldn't hit the higher notes so the song evolved into something else.

I haven't done a vocal in a while for obvious reasons. I used a lot of Melodyne which helped get me on pitch but it introduced some artifacts which I gave up on trying to fix. So the vocal isn't too good but it doesn't much matter. It was fun to do.

Wookie, I'm a retired pharmacist. I've prepared a lot of morphine drips but at a veterans' hospital they were used for heart attack and cancer patients.

Wonderful piece with heartbreaking lyrics. I love the sparse arrangement and mix. The guitar is just perfect and the ambience is great.
