But corn syrup is cheaper so corporate profits are up. I don't drink sodas anymore, but in the late 1980s, I would get cokes and pepsis in Mexico because they still used sugar and they tasted quite a bit better.

You paid a deposit on the bottles when you bought Cokes or any other brand at the store. As kids, we'd find bottles other people tossed and then return them to the store to collect a few cents a piece. When I was little kid, my dad and uncle would take me fishing at the ocean inlet in Pompano Beach, and the marina had one of these. I guess it was a relic then, because it's the only one I've ever seen.

(the Browncoats (fan group) found that prop ship in a junkyard and restored it; dunno whatever happened to it but at one point it was here where I live and I helped a little bit on it and provided some bits and bobs for them to use on the new cockpit panels they were going to build (don't know if they ever did). Otherwise I would proabably have no idea what chairs were on it) . I took the picture in the big box store I work in. The whole time I was thinking of the meme, I couldn't shake the sense that I had seen it somewhere before.
T Boog Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) That could be considered a Freudian sign. (It looks like something out of the movie 'They Live' 😄) Edited September 12 by T Boog 1

T Boog Posted September 13 Posted September 13 My great grandpa died 12 yrs ago and he left me this speaker cab. If I ever figure out the impedance I'm going to run my Marshall head through it. 😄 1 1
